The overall process took about 3 to 4 hours. I attended the interview with my fiance. Our appointment was for 6:45am, and even though we arrived a bit early, we stood in line and didn't enter the embassy until after 7:30am. There were many K1 and CR-1 applicants there that day.

Upon entering the embassy, we passed through security and were escorted to the first of five stations. Interestingly, security didn't require me to show my US passport, but considering I'm a tall, white, nerdy-looking guy, they probably figured I wasn't too much of a threat.

Everything went smoothly, with only basic questions being asked. My fiance and I were well-prepared and had all of our supporting paperwork in hand. As we had registered his mailing address online prior to the interview, we were able to skip the fifth station. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we didn't encounter any animosity or harassment. As I was in attendance, as petitioner, I... read complete review

Staff was friendly, my fiancé had her evidence folder so well prepared that the interview only took a few minutes before she was approved. After you receive your visa you have to attend the CFO seminar in Manila and get a certificate before you can leave the country.

I never thought it was as easy as everyone is trying to picture out how their interview went. From my experience everything went smooth. The waiting will drag you nuts though but during interview the questions are basically about you and your Fiance/Fiancee. Dont get nervous, just be confident and stay focus. The consul who interviewed me was very nice.
Documents they asked: BC, NBI certificate, CENOMAR.
Questions asked: 1.) What is your name 2.) What is your birthdate 3.) How did we met 4.) What is Fiance's address in the States 5.) How did we find out the dating site
Those are all the questions were asked to me and afterwards she handed me a pamphlet and congratulating me that The visa is approved, wait 5-10 days for your visa.
My visa is ready for pick up 3 days after interview.
I wish you all luck and Gob Bless you!

My interview schedule is 6:45. I finished around 8:30am or earlier.
It was pretty smooth. The pre-screening made me nervous because the Filipina who asked me question gave me a weird judgmental expression when I said I met my fiance, Ryan February this year during my trip in Corpus Christi.

When I got to the assigned window where the consul officer was waiting for me, I greeted him "Good Morning" and he responded too. He opened the Pink Folder where our files are. My valid U.S. visa caught his attention first. He took it off from the ziplock plastic and begun flipping my passport. He saw my valid U.S. visa, flip it an saw another U.S. visa, then Indian visa, then saw all my Immigration Entry stamps. He said "Oh, you have been to a lot of places". He pulled out my new passport and saw my Japanese visa and exclaimed "You got a Japanese Visa too" Then he asked me these questions:

- What's your previous trip to US all about?
- How did you meet... read complete review

My fiance's interview was so smooth, and easy. The consular officer didn't ask her too many questions, and she was approved. He asked for our pictures, and was very happy when he saw our engagement shoot.

APPROVED!!!
