I decided to visit my fiancee to attend the interview with her. We arrived about 1 hour early. A lady outside gave us directions on where to stand. I am not sure if she was employed by the embassy or just selling pens. Our appointment was at 8:15 so we stood in the line behind the sign marked "8:15 Immigrant Visa Appointment". I read that backpacks and bags were not allowed, so we hand carried our paperwork, but I saw at least one backpack and some large purses. I think they are not too strict on this rule, but the guard does check bags before entry.
They did not check my ID or my passport to accompany my fiancee inside.
When our line was called, we proceeded forward to a tent outside where the appointment confirmation was checked and the passports were bagged and tagged. Inside, there was a security check. My Fiance had her interview in Manila on September 8th. She said it was easier than she had thought it would be. She also said that she got lucky and had a certain pre-screener who was fast and not asking for anything hardly. She heard others with different pre-screener and they were asked for documents from petitioner. She was approved after a short interview and asked only a few questions. The whole process took about 3 hours. They did not ask her for affidavit of support or any proof of relationship.

My interview date was August 30, 2016 scheduled at 6:45am.
I was with my partner throughout the whole process. We got out the hotel at 6:10am and at that time, we thought that we could get to the embassy grounds at 6:30am but then unfortunately for us it was raining that hard. We were forced to buy umbrellas which costs P200, really expensive! Then we have to cross by going up the overpass. Then we arrived at the tent at 7:00am and we arrived where most of our documents for the interview were somehow wet.
We were in line until 7:30am we got inside the security area. There are basically two doors: one for the USC and the other is for applicants. I gave my phone to my USC partner because they can secure their electronic stuff in the area. Despite that my watch was electronic in nature, I still got in.
