We made sure she knew all of my biographical information (parents, siblings and address, names, work, etc.). This really helped because it seemed like some of the embassy staff who conducted initial screening (before she had her formal interview with the consular officer) were asking questions like what is his address. Some applicants who did not know the answers to multiple questions were advised to return when they were more prepared. Looking into their eyes and smiling when you answer helps so they know you're confident.
She also brought pictures showing us together. She attended the interview by herself because I was unable to attend. Also: be early! She went there to wait in line super early...even though she had an appointment time. This helped because she was not the only one with an ~8AM appointment time. Once she was allowed inside, she was out of there by ~0930.
Also: don't bring cell phones or perfume (best to bring just papers and pic... read complete review

Interview was very quick. Initial processing was efficient. We were well prepared (follow the guidelines on what to bring). She was not asked for any documentation. The questions were basic...where did you meet, did he send you any money, what's the petitioner's birthdate, etc. She did have to go back to the NBI and get an additional report on name that was entered incorrectly on her birth certificate so if you have a similar situation (she said there were several other people ahead of her that had to do the same thing) make sure you get NBI reports on ANY names that might have been used before for whatever reason. She sent the additional NBI to the Embassy using the approved courier service and should have her visa in hand next week. Of note, the person in front of her was denied. The CO called her out in no uncertain terms during the interview, said she was lying, gave her back her DS-160, told her she was denied and to leave. Bottom line, if you follow the instructions and you are ... read complete review

The whole interview went well
Consular officer was nice.. the reason for my visa denial is my previous marriage termination.. they just dont honor sharia divorce.. they want annullment.
