It was really easy!! I (petitioner) attended w/ my fiance, and found the whole process from the time I arrived (about 20 mins prior to scheduled appointment) to be very well organized. We were finished in about 1 hour, and the majority of that time was sitting waiting to be ushered to our window. If everything in your package is in order, and your relationship is genuine then your experience should be pleasantly easy. We didn't take a bunch of extra "evidence" with us, but we didn't need to because I've been in the Philippines with her for 20 of the last 28 months. I would definitely suggest you be here in the Philippines with her if you are able to; however, you may not want to stand beside her in the actual interview process (there is room to back up a little). Reason being is because it can make her more nervous to be flanked by (2) english speaking Americans (you and interviewer) as she tries to compose her answers. My fiance said if she had to do it again she would tell me ... read complete review

Woke up at 3am and had to leave at 4am because I have to drive from Pampanga to Manila.
I got to the vicinity of the embassy at around 5:45AM. Try to park across the street from the embassy (in front of RCBC). There are slots there that an old man guards with his life and you can pay him 100 pesos for an unlimited parking time. He's nice and I left my phone in the car because I wasn't allowed to bring it with me.
We had to wait in line outside the embassy for at least 10-15 minutes then they let us in at around 6:20AM (didn't have a watch with me so I'm just estimating).
They'll just have you wait in line for a bit and then go through the pre-screening. Pre-screening officers are Filipino and their job is to authenticate your documents (NBI Clearance, Birth Certificate, CENOMAR, Affidavit of Support) and other facts. You don't have to worry about anything as long as you're not lying. The one who helped me was on Window 43. She's really nice ... read complete review

Interview went very good, they asked 6 simple questions, however we receive 221g because NVC refuse to mail us the NVC letter with embassy case number so we couldn't order my wifes Hong Kong Police Clearance forcing us to proceed with the embassy interview without the required police clearance. We finally received the NVC letter and 1 week after the interview ordered the Hong Kong Police Clearance which took 23 days to deliver to the embassy, then another 14 days lost in the embassy mail room while the embassy staff refuse to go look for it, then another 13 days for the visa to be issued and delivered to the 2GO courier outlet walking distance from the embassy.
We are unable to complete the processing of your Immigrant Visa application under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended, until you present the following documents or complete required action from your end:
