On the day of the interview I decided to go there really early. I usually go to these places early to calm myself lol (medical at 3 am and Interview around 4:30 AM). My schedule for interview is at 6:45 AM ïŠ
There are chairs available but don’t sit right away because they will charge you 30 pesos per chair. ïŠ And don’t believe the people there that they will ask 4 copies of 2x2 pictures inside the embassy because they just asked 1 copy.
So at around 6 AM they asked us to fall in line and prepare our ds160 and passport. They’ve asked us to put the passport in a zip block bag and they placed a sticker with a number in my ds-160. We went to do scanning area and our stuff went into the machine. They don’t allow the cd from the medical, metal watches, bottled water, cables, chargers, food, candies and of course mobile phones. Then we waited inside for our turn on the pre-screening window. The person in the pre-screening window is a Filip... read complete review

It was a pleasant experience. The entire process was swift and efficient, it was just the waiting outside the embassy for the appt that was bad part. But once inside, the flow was pretty quick. The pre screening actually took longer than actual interview. My fiancé was with me. It was short and the questions were easy. The consul even joked towards the end that she had no questions but just wnted to ask what about my fiancé that I didn't like 😂

We made sure she knew all of my biographical information (parents, siblings and address, names, work, etc.). This really helped because it seemed like some of the embassy staff who conducted initial screening (before she had her formal interview with the consular officer) were asking questions like what is his address. Some applicants who did not know the answers to multiple questions were advised to return when they were more prepared. Looking into their eyes and smiling when you answer helps so they know you're confident.
She also brought pictures showing us together. She attended the interview by herself because I was unable to attend. Also: be early! She went there to wait in line super early...even though she had an appointment time. This helped because she was not the only one with an ~8AM appointment time. Once she was allowed inside, she was out of there by ~0930.
Also: don't bring cell phones or perfume (best to bring just papers and pic... read complete review
