We had a delay due to a previous history of TB and an abnormal X-Ray, so her interview was changed from January 8th to March 22nd pending a good outcome from the TB culture - she passed that, whew!. I had very carefully prepared my packed that I submitted to USCIS. She was told to pretty much gather all the same information herself for the interview. When she actually had the interview, they just went through my packet, not hers. They asked her a few questions, such as my children's names, and that was it. It was maybe 15 minutes. The moral of the story seemed to be for the US person to carefully prepare their submission. I even had the documents in order so it was easy for the interviewer to go through them. I would still have the fiance do their due diligence in gathering documents too. Obviously she needed her birth certificate, police report, etc. But the duplicates of what I had didn't seem as important.

The interview process was very simple and did not take longer than 10 minutes, but the process before the interview was long. We arrived at 0630 and found out that was just a waiting line that would start to enter after the earlier groups were already in. We finally entered the embassy around 0800 and had to sit and wait. Eventually, we got my wife's biometrics completed and the interview took place around 1100. We were out of the embassy around noon time.

It was really easy!! I (petitioner) attended w/ my fiance, and found the whole process from the time I arrived (about 20 mins prior to scheduled appointment) to be very well organized. We were finished in about 1 hour, and the majority of that time was sitting waiting to be ushered to our window. If everything in your package is in order, and your relationship is genuine then your experience should be pleasantly easy. We didn't take a bunch of extra "evidence" with us, but we didn't need to because I've been in the Philippines with her for 20 of the last 28 months. I would definitely suggest you be here in the Philippines with her if you are able to; however, you may not want to stand beside her in the actual interview process (there is room to back up a little). Reason being is because it can make her more nervous to be flanked by (2) english speaking Americans (you and interviewer) as she tries to compose her answers. My fiance said if she had to do it again she would tell me ... read complete review
