My husband had his IR1 interview yesterday, October 6,2017. His schedule was at 10:10 am. We were within the vicinity at around 8 am. We had coffee and sat across the street from the embassy. At around 8:45c, my husband decided to walk to the embassy for his interview. When he got there, there were only 3 people in line for immigrant visas. He got through security, pre screening, and biometrics pretty quickly. The officer at the pre screening area asked for his nbi clearance, original cemar and original birth certificate. He asked what my husband did for a living and where and when we met. My husband didn’t have to wait long for his actual interview either... but this time he was asked a lot of questions!
-petitioner’s name
-address
-date of marriage
-our son’s name
-son’s place of birth
-how i became a us citizen
-who supports us (since i am currently unemployed)
-where are your wife and child now ... read complete review

Interview was very short and simple. I was not asked too many questions. I was approved but have a problem paying the uscis fee. I am being told it can be paid any time but must be paid prior to receiving green card. I am also being told it needs to be paid the day of the interview.
Today I received an e-mail that I need to go to the Embassy and pay to begin the process. Totally do not understand !!!!

It was a smooth process!
My interview was last September 25, 2017, 6:40 AM. I errived there like 6:00 AM. I didn't know that mobile phones are not allowed within the US Embassy area. It was my mistake that I didn't read the instructions in DS-160. I didn't know what to do, as I can't even enter, but there are people there offering for Php 200 to keep your phone and all your gadgets until you finish your interview. I have no choice but to trust them, leave my phone and pay.
So I went inside, and there is a scanning machine to check your bag. I came back like 3 times inside and out of the room, as they always detect some cables and stuff. I throw them all as they are not allowed.
There are only 2 interviewers and the other one is for fingerprint scanning.
1st interview: Filipina, she asked for my name, birthday, the petitioner, how old am I, how old is he, how did we met, how do we communicate, do I have kids, when did he last visited me and how long.
