Good experience overall. The time spent in waiting for your turn at the pre-screening with the Filipino officer, and the final interview with the American officer was a longer than what I expected, but it was understandable.

The consular officers who conducted the interview were straight forward and very thorough.

The only thing I found inconvenient was bringing so many supporting documents, but actually got asked for just the photos of us. I hope the consulate can specify what they will require at the time of the interview.

Wasn’t what I expected, the embassy was very organized and if you have your paperwork prepared correctly it will be quite easily completed,

I had my K1 VISA interview in the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines in January of 2017. The actual interview was pretty quick. It was an American consulate who interviewed me. He asked my name and my fiance's name. He then asked my fiance's address in the US and If it is where I intend to stay. He didn't get any additional documents nor asked specific details about us. He just made sure the information on their file was correct. He then told me the VISA is approved and handed me the small piece of paper with the instructions. The interview lasted around 5 minutes or so.

Just make sure you answer honestly and everything in your file matches.
