Review Topic: General Review

My fiance had her interview at the Embassy in Manila. The day before, she met with the service we're using to help process all the documentation and verify we have everything needed. The interview went quite well. She was only asked a few questions and they only really looked at a small portion of the cooperating documentation she brought along. She had put a LOT of time into making sure we had everything anyone could want to prove the relationship was legitimate and that I had visited her and her family multiple times (photo book, scrap book, hotel/airline receipts, etc.). So I'm sure that helped when the consular officer saw she was prepared. So I guess there's not too much to say about it other than be prepared, carry yourself with confidence (NOT arrogance) and dress properly (not that I know that had anything to do with it, but I suspect it did).

PS: This isn't a review but sharing my experience through the USEM in Manila.
PPS: This only for Filipino fiance's as I didn't wrote this in english. Please understand. Thank you!

Interview experience

Line A ako, so dun sa Line A ang pila ko.

Paglapit ko sa Window 43? (Ata?) Walang scanner si Kuyang Pinoy so pinalipat ako sa Window 51. Dito bumagal ako. Kasi n'ung iniscan 'yung pic(2x2) ayaw maread. (Just to be sure, magdala kayo ng malinaw na 2x2 pic, isa lang. Wag yellowish. Pero minsan hindi naman ipapagawa sa inyo 'yun)

Lumabos ako, actually sa loob lang din s'ya ng USEM to take a pic, 80 pesos sya 6pcs na.

Everything went smoothly. I was scheduled on a Thursday at 6:40am. I got there like 5:15am. I rented a chair for 30 pesos while waiting and I got duped by one of the many people selling random things there (ballpen, umbrella, visa photos, ds-160) into thinking that I need more 2x2 photos. I know, silly me. I paid 190 pesos for 4 pcs of those photos that are nowhere near the standards of the embassy. Side note: there is like a kodak booth inside the embassy so if you really forgot photos, just go inside and have it taken with the machine (80-90 pesos i think). Please dont make the same mistake i did. People there also offer to hold your things for you since electronics like phone and usb arent allowed inside. I left all of my things at the hotel. Earrings and watches are allowed inside if you are wondering. So at around 5:50am, we were asked by the guard to line up according to time of interview. Then after around 10-15 minutes, the guard checked our appointment letters one by one. Thos... read complete review
