My interview was scheduled on July 9, 2012, at 7:30 AM. I arrived at the Embassy at 7 AM. There were three lines entering the gate and the immigrants and K visa line is shorter and moving fast. By 7:20 I already got a queuing number (#6134), and had already dropped my appointment schedule, DS156 and DS157 (2 copies) and 1 copy of the DS156K at Window 39. We were asked to be seated and wait for our number to appear on the queuing board.
But as luck would have it, I am never really fortunate at anything random. I never win at raffles and bingo games... my number just never seems to get drawn. Finally at 8:45, I saw '6134' on the board and almost jumped out of my seat... I went to Window 43 for fingerprint scanning. It was a bit cold and I can\'t seem to get fingerprinting right so I was asked to rub my hands together and press on the scanner. Lesson: Take breakfast. That will give the energy and strength to press hard enough with results. If you are the type who ... read complete review

My fiance had his interview June 22. He said they asked very few questions and did not want to look at pictures or other proof of relationship he offered. They said they had no doubt about the legitimacy of our relationship. The interview with the Filipino CO went fine.
When he got to the American CO, there was in issue with finances. The CO said he needed current pay stubs. My current pay stubs were actually already in the packet that the CO had, but he apparently didn't notice or care. My fiance tried to explain further that my mother was willing to act as a joint sponsor. The CO said, "We do not accept co-sponsors for the K1 visa" and refused paperwork showing my mother's finances and offer of support. He was issued a 221g on which "proof of current sustained income" was checked. They kept all of his paperwork and his passport and told him to mail the requested documents directly to the embassy via 2GO.
We're now trying to compile another fin... read complete review

Fiancee went to interview with daughter on June 7. Everything went well until daughters birth certificate showed a date of marriage entered by father when child was born. It was signed by father. Fiancee showed her CENOMAR showing she was never married. Filipino intervewer along with American asked her to get a CENOMAR for father and that amendmant was required on birth certificate. Fiancee got childs fathers CENOMAR same day and hand carried it to embassy. Amendmant we found out costs 600 US dollars and 90 days to process! In 30 days she will return to go before the Trial Court judge for amendmant then it will post in local paper. Finally it will be processed and sent to Fiancee. My question is if the CENOMAR is the document in PH showing proof of marriage or no marriage why go through the amendmant process Fiasco? I have emailed Consulate with my concern hoping to hear from them soon. We feel like we have almost reached the finish line of a marathon then they moved the finish line 5 ... read complete review

My wife went to her medical today. She was told to bring one passport photo, her passport, and copy of her interview appointment.
During her appointment, they also needed a copy of her annulment papers from previous marrage and a copy of the fist page from packet 3 that has the case number on it. They didn't mention that before hand so thought I'd throw that out there. Make sure to bring those documents as well as the ones mentioned by the Embasy to your medical.
