Interview appt at 7:30AM, MNL time.

Arrived at USEM grounds at 530AM. Waited 'till 7:00AM before we were asked to come in.

At the gate, we were to submit the DS156, DS156K, DS157 appointment confirmation and passport. Checked in and went through 1st security check. Got the ticket number at the ticket board.

It is called randomly so don't be surprised if someone else is called before you.

Our appointment was at 6:30am. When we arrived at the embassy around 5:30am there were 2 lines, one for tourist visas and one for immigrant visas. The people near the entrance had appointments at 6:15am. There was another queue of people behind the first line for appointments at 6:30am. We waited there, and entered the building around 6:30am. Outside the embassy, To enter, show your appointment letter and passport of petitioner and beneficiary. When you enter the main security entrance of the embassy, U.S. citizens have a different entrance than non-US citizens. US citizens can bring electronic devices and keep them there. My wife got a number slip from the next kiosk after the main security check. When you enter the huge embassy hall, give your appointment slip to the girl at the counter.

Now here is when the fun begins. You are given a ... read complete review

My interview sched March 6, 6am. I was there an hour earlier and there was a long line already for both immigrant and non-immigrants.
Suggestion: If you can't have breakfast, take with you a small can of ensure (ready to drink)and drink while waiting in line. This will help to sustain you from dawn to 12noon or later.

6:15- entry to the embassy building
6:30 - biometrics
6:40 - Pre screening by a Filipino. You will be asked your name, birthday, and submit some docs you didnt submitted to the NVC.
7:00-10:05 waiting while comfortably seated.

Keep your eye on the queue board. Take time to talk to your seatmate/s but never miss the new number being flashed after 3 seconds or less. (you can transfer seat anytime near the windows). That will make you more relax.

10:05-10:15 Interview by the CO.
