We had our interview yesterday also. David gave an excellent write up on the process. We arrived at the Embassy at 7 am. Our appointment was at 0630. We flew in from Cebu City (again). That just put us to the rear of the line. Everything went very smooth. Personnel were helpful and courteous. Visa approved and we were out the door completely finished by 1130. Currently awaiting passport delivery to Ayala mall 2Go office.

I thank the Lord Jesus for helping me through this journey...and leading me to this site was very helpful, without VJ i know i would be ignorant about so many things about immigration process, not knowing where i am heading...to the VJ family, i love you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I had my interview 3 days ago, July 1st and i was approved. Just like the others, i went to the embassy Manila at 5am, and about 6:30 i already got my number. 20 minutes interval from entering the building to the biometrics and to the 1st interview with the Filipino consul. She was really nice and friendly...she asked me for a document though that isn't on the list of what i was supposed to bring to the interview. that's the ADVISORY on MArriages, im really glad i have it ready just in case it would be asked. ( i only got the information to obtain this document in advance here at VJ...many called it CEMAR...what i did is applied for CENOMAR and thats what i got, an Advisory on Ma... read complete review

We got approved...I think! Strange, I know...well, here is the experience in a nutshell.

First of all, some advice that you may not yet have seen:

1. If you have the US fiance(e) with you, he/she should bring his/her passport AND drivers license.

2. If you have the US fiance(e) with you, leave all prohibited materials with him/her (cell phones, electronics, cigarettes, etc.). A US Citizen is permitted to leave these at the entrance and pick them up when leaving.

3. If you DO NOT have your US fiance(e) with you, leave all prohibited materials at home (cell phone, electronics, cigarettes, lighters, etc.). There will be no where for you to leave them and retrieve them when you exit.

4. Fill out EVERY BOX OR LINE IN EVERY IMMIGRATION FORM, even if you have to write "N/A" or "NONE" or "SEE ATTACHMENT" a thousand times. Write it in with a pen after printing them if you have to. This is NOT what some of the example for... read complete review

Note: I wrote this on June 25th. But posted it only today, July 2nd, 2013.

I’ve only decided to write about this US Embassy Manila / Consulate experience today (June 25th and releasing it online after my visa gets issued... [EDIT: still not issued. Still being held at AP]) because I’d like to do this as calmly and objectively as possible (at least try to be), and of course, avoid further possible “delays” that might arise from me speaking up.

Short story: My fiancé, Christopher, was here for my interview and we showed up at the Manila US Embassy New Office Annex Building (NOX1) and was neither denied nor approved. I (the Beneficiary) was belittled by Consular Officer. They kept my passport and we got a 221(g) sheet asking for more financial documentation from him. Denied co-sponsorship, he's graduating soon.

EDIT: We sent his updated employment letter, job offer; He's past the 100% poverty guidelines and barely short of 125% but wh... read complete review
