The interview process was smooth and the interviewers were very cordial and respectful. They asked only the standard questions and there were no surprises except...
One problem... Our documents did not include a I-864A. We had never heard of the document before and neither had our attorney. Yes, I should haven't hired him.
Once this document is received there is no need for a second interview.

I was with my fiance at her interview October 21st... it went smoothly and she
was approved. I could see that it lessened the load of the Consular when the
petitioner was with the fiance. The consular asked me some simple questions as
well as my fiance. Quetions like, how many time I visited, how many kids I had,
who was my best friend, etc. It's things fiances should know with a good loving

the forms and they were having problems getting them completed prior to the
first window interview and biometrics. With the new form DS-160 that has to
be filled out online, I don't know how this will change things, and I don't know
what would happend if you made a mistake on them either.
Lessons learned durring this whole process are:

We arrived at embassy 5 am for 6.30 appt. there were already hundreds of people in various lines outside. we waited an hour outside then filed in, got a number, and proceeded to waiting area. i didn't realize there are four stations you have to go through, each one involving a wait of one or two hours...lots of people!! all the people were pleasant enough, the us consulate was nice and friendly. not too many questions. he asked me several questions (which i had already answered in the rfe etc) nothing challenging or difficult. he then had me sit and he asked my wife several questions about me, my business, her plans in the US...i got the feeling the questions were pro-forma....i had made certain we had all the documents before the interview, so our file was complete...(our file was ridiculously large as i had sent them a lot of info for the rfe, probably seven or eight inches high. they had asked lots of questions and required lots of additional documents in the rfe) we finished the fo... read complete review
