Elias interviewed on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 alone as I was unable to travel to Lima. He arrived at the Embassy at 7am for the interview that was scheduled at 8am. There were many people and arriving early is recommended. He needed to show the Form. 179 to enter and was asked to leave all electronics outside and was provided with a claim ticket to pick them up after the interview. When he entered a woman asked for the Form. 179 which she kept, he was told to have a seat inside where he would wait to be called to a window (windows 9-15 are for K-1 Visa). He was called first to window 14 where he was asked for all of the documents that he had in a specific order, the documents were scanned into a machine where the interviewer would later view them as electronic files. He was told to take a seat and wait to be called again for the actual interview. He was called over the speaker to go to window 15 (only window 9 and 15 are used for the actual interview). Once he entered he spoke with an A... read complete review

We arrived at 7 am for our 815 appointment. We waited in line about 20 minutes then a man came out and looked at our papers and directed us to go through security then to another line next to the building. A young woman came out and directed us to sit in the first section. It was 800 when they started to call people to the windows. We were the 3rd called. The woman at window 12 was rather distracted with the pleasantries going on with all of the other screeners....She gave Oscar a form to fill out that we already had given to here.....then forgot to get my 134´s or proof of income from me....all the time laughing with her friends....She asked Oscar how we met. she asked me if I speak spanish in spanish....which I replied I understand and read alot but speak a little....she asked Oscar to speak English to her which he did.....she told us to go sit down......At 830 we were called into room 15....We both set down....She asked to see my passport.....Took Oscar´s fingerprints then as... read complete review

My fiancee left Miraflores about 630 am and arrived at the consulate around 7 am (about 75 minutes before her scheduled interview). After waiting in line for about 15 minutes, a man checked her passport and appointment letter and assigned her number 7. She then entered the embassy and waited for about 30 minutes before being called by window 13. Windows 11-14 handle K1 and K3 visas. My fiancee was the 7th in line for windows 11-14.

A poker faced, Peruvian woman asked for the DS-156,DS-156K, I134 and supporting documentation, the 3 police certificates(criminal, police and judicial), photos, birth certificate and medical envelope. She then asked my fiancee a series of questions, some of which made her nervous since the people waiting in line could hear every word.
1. What is Jon\'s job?, where does he live?, and how many times did he visit?
2. Where did you meet?
3. What is your job?
4. Does Jon have kids?, how many times has... read complete review

Arrived at the embassy at 7:45 for our 8:00 appointment. Took longer to get there than we expected (about 40 minutes from Miraflores). At 8:10 Jorge was called to window 14 where he was asked for several forms. At 8:40 he was called to window 13 and asked for the remainder of his forms. The woman asked him questions about when and how we met and typed them into her computer. At 9:30 he was called to door 15. I went in with him and the man asked Jorge a couple of questions and took his fingerprints. He then asked me a question in Spanish and I asked if he minded speaking to me in English (I was nervous enough without having to think!). He replied in Spanish "You don{t speak Spanish?" and I replied, in Spanish, "Yes I do but it is easier for me in English". He gave me a bit of a glare so I said "OK, Spanish is fine". He asked Jorge when we met and how many times. He then asked me to leave the room (which I found very odd- I have never heard of that before) so he could talk to ... read complete review
