My interview experience was a very pleasant one.
My Babe and I arrived at the consulate around 6:13am, and I joined the queue for the 7:00am appointment. We filed through the security checks and the officers confirmed my appointment. They gave me a contact form to fill. We sat there waiting to be called into the main building until 8:49am. We filed through another security check point that led us to the main building. There we walked through another detector like the ones at the airport
The guards then directed us to another block where we got a tally card. The room led us to the interview hall. There were not many people as I had thought. There, I joined another queue waiting to be called to submit their medicals and financial documents. A lady in one of the windows smiled at me and mouthed these words to me "I like your dress" and I smiled back at her saying "thank you". Her compliment boosted my morale lol. Guess what? When they called my name over... read complete review

Had my original marriage certificate, international passport, 2 passport photograph submitted at a cubicle. Called for interview in less than five minutes after document submission. The interviewer asked where my spouse(USC) born, trying to quote the date of our marriage in which he stated the year while I gave him the exact day and month. Confirmed from me of our baby, which I gave on the affirmative. He asked for his name, which I told him. He asked to know my spouse's present address, which I told him. He requested for our pix which I gave to him. Pix included before marriage, during (church and traditional engagement)and after marriage. Also include was pix taken when my wife visited with our son and shots from his birthday. Then came the great approval. God has always been our focal point and strength. It took one year + 10 months

All praise unto God, the author and finisher of our faith. I arrived the embassy at 5:50am, there were hundreds of men and women there already and I kept wondering how they were able to get to the embassy that early. A whole lot of them had their suits and tie while the ladies had their skirt and trouser suits too combined with nice plimsolls or high heels. I felt a little under-dressed as I opted for a pair of khakis, short sleeve shirt and a pair of brown loafers. I had read it somewhere online that it is a visa interview not a job interview, so I decided wear what I felt comfortable in. At about 7:05, the applicant with 8'o clock appointments were called, we were asked to open all sealed envelops, I was scared to open my medical report because of the strict instructions given but they assured us that it was okay for us to open the envelopes but not to look through the contents. We got past the first security check as we were thoroughly screened, we formed another queue at the waitin... read complete review
