Hello,
I would first like to say please be mindful of fraudulent people that just lurk around the embassy and don't pay no mind to them. When my fiancé got to the embassy there was a dude at the parking lot that pretended to be an officer and started asking why he came to the embassy. He then asked for the appointment letter and DS-160 confirmation page and told my fiancé that he printed out the wrong information, that they DS-160 confirmation and appointment letter do not correlate for about 30 minutes he kept insisting that the info my fiancé had wasn't the real info until he then said "oh sorry, it is correct but the DS-160 confirmation page should be in colored and not Black and White and he should pay 10,000 naira for it (of course he didn't pay and that's when he realized that the dude didn't know what he was talking about).
Anyways, he got to the gate and they did all the security checks. Got into the embassy and he said it was just him an... read complete review

I arrived at the US embassy at 6am as my interview was scheduled for 6:45am. Long queue was formed by the security at 6:30. Then after the security checks we went inside the interview hall. Nonimmigrant separated from immigrants. Take note of the number written on your appointment letter because you will be called with that number by the CO. Once all your documents are complete let confidence ride you. After thumbprinting they returned some of our pics and documents we submitted during Nvc stage that they did not need. And they will hold your passport.Â
Next is to wait till your number is called for interview. Here are some of the questions the CO asked me:
1. Co: good morning with smiles
2. Co: who called you?
3. Co: how and when did we meet?
4. Co: who was the mutual friend on Facebook? Cos I said we shared same mutual friend on Facebook. Pls make sure u dont make mistake. And be sure of what u say.

Hello Everyone,
So sorry for the delay, once he was approved we hit the ground running to make preparations for us to travel together and finish up things at work. We just got back to America two days ago. I won't bombard you with things that you already know, just be prepared to arrive early and have every document that is required. We basically frontloaded but more will not harm the process.
Emeka's appointment for scheduled for 7am, but he got there around 5:45am. The line was already long, so they called for the lines to be divided into immigrant and non immigrant. Please pay close attention because my fiancé couldn't hear what was said and he was a little confused until someone told him where to go. He passed through security, got sworn it and took his number. He received number 32 and was third to last. He was talking to a few people there and noticed that some people were denied. There were two officers interviewing, one was stern and sl... read complete review

Hello all,
A few weeks ago, Visajourney was the webpage I frequented the most, day & night. And because of all the experiences and advice I read on this page, it really helped me prepare for my interview day. In return, I would also like to share my experience in the hopes of also helping someone else in my shoes. Below is my experience and transcript of my Immigrant Interview in Lagos.
The interview was held on 7th February, 2018 at the US consulate, Lagos. I started gathering all the required documents as listed by the NVC from the day we got the notification of my scheduled interview date.
My wife had already sent in her paperwork including some of our photos. I, on my end, gathered our communications from email conversations, (120 pages), WhatsApp, telegram messages & calls ( I think about 80 pages, I randomly selected them). I also printed more photos of my wife's visit to Nigeria, our wedding, (even though we had a marriage album) a... read complete review

Interview with a minor. My stepdaughter had a successful interview at the Lagos Embassy this morning. Her uncle was her guardian at the visit. He submitted his fingerprints and passport in addition to hers. They asked 4 questions: Who is sending for you? When was the first time you saw your stepmother? How old were you?Do you have any siblings? Visa approved. My husband and I are ecstatic. Oluwaseun!!!! 🎯
