My interview was scheduled for 7 AM and I got there at 5:50. There was a long line of people outside. They told us (petition based applicants) to form another line and we were taken inside. A Nigerian man called me and took my appointment letter, ds160 confirmation page, photocopy of my birth certificate, my passport, two passport photos and my affidavit of support and supporting documents. we waited three more hours before i was called for the interview proper. A pretty white woman interviewed me. Questions asked were:
1) Who’s calling you?
2)How did you two meet?
3)How did he know the person that introduced you ?
4)How did you(me) know the person that introduced us
5)Does he live in a house or apartment?
6)Does he live alone?
7)Has he ever been married?
8)Have I ever been married?
9)Does he have kids?
10)Do I have kids?
11)where does he work and what’s his job description?
12)How did th... read complete review

My Interview Experience.
I got to the Embassy around 5:15am.
A lot of persons were already there waiting.
Security check started around 6am. At this point, the non immigrant were separated from immigrant applicants.
I joined the immigrant queue. We were asked to open the sealed medical envelope. We were also asked to bring out appointment letter, DS 160, evidence of visa payment(GTB receipt) and international passport.
I proceeded to the gate, where I went through another security check. After the check we were asked to sit under a tent where a small slip was handed over to us to Fill. We were asked to write our name, the petitional's name, address, phone number and email address.Â
After filing the form, the Man asked for my international passport, DS 160 and appointment letter. After ... read complete review

Hello guys,
I am new here. My case is currently being reviewed at NVC. My documents have been submitted and some where rejected but the one I am really concerned about is my birth certificate. I am from nigeria and not sure what birth certificate is acceptable.
I also want to know if I can proceed with my medical pending when I get case complete and interview date or should I wait till at least case complete.

My husband's interview was scheduled for 7am. He was asked one question, "Who is petitioning for you?" The officer then asked to see my 2018 tax return. He was approved and told he could pick up his visa and passport on Friday!

My fiance had his interview today and it went as it has been explained here. THANK YOU VJ for providing such great information. He arrived at 6am for his 7am appt and said there were what seemed to be thousands of people there. His interview was at 7am but he was not seen until close to noon. The interview took about 5 to 10 minutes total and since we had all of our paperwork in order, I front loaded the K1 application from this side, he was approved with no problem. He spoke confidently about us and provided the answers because we've been dating for almost 2yrs now and know each other inside and out. The one thing I will mention is that when you are going for a K1 and show up with no date certain for your marriage, that may be something they see as a red flag. We have a date certain, I sent our wedding contract with the planner, our venue contract but my fiance overheard a conversation where the person had no date certain but explained that the couple had not discussed it. For some re... read complete review
