Approved! The interview went great! We were definitely both extremely overly nervous with no need to be. We went in, went through security (Much similar to security at the airport) we were both able to go in together and we sat for about 10 minutes before we were called to Window 5. The lady was very nice and gathered all of our information and we sat back down for about 5 minutes before our interview began. They called us back up to the window and the interviewer this time was a nice man who asked us 3 very simple questions "how long have you guys been together" "How did you propose" and "Where did you propose" and then poof he said "Congratulations you guys are approved" and Mark and I had to stop...and re-evaluate what just happened because it was like "Whoa..wait?! Thats it? THATS what we were nervous about?!?!" So... my advice and experience to everyone else... No worries If you are legit and are prepared you guys have absolutely nothing to worry about and ever... read complete review

They open the gate only at the assigned time- 1.30PM. Then you go through the security check and they will ask you to go to Window 5. They allowed only the beneficiary, not the petitioner to go inside.

At window 5, they take your postage and verify your passport, and fetch your NVC file. Then they ask you to wait for the CO to call you. The interview was nerve-racking. I believe I was very well prepared. I had a copy of every single document I had sent them, all neatly organized. You don't have a birth certificate? (I did not, and I had sent in the non-availability certificates and affidavits). You have been to the US before- do you have your old visa documents? (I had them all neatly organized, at home!) he spent some time trying to bring up my information on his screen. I don't know what the result was. Did your spouse's family come to the wedding? (No, they couldn't come due to medical/educational reasons). Will you have another wedding in the US? (No, but we will hav... read complete review

My husband had his interview at the Amsterdam consulate on February 27th, 2012. The interview was scheduled for 1:30, and he arrived early, just before 1 pm. Because he was so early, they told him to scram until closer to 1:30, so he went and had a coffee and came back to he consulate at around 1:15 pm. He was second in line, and once inside had to wait an hour to be seen. Once it was his turn, he was told to sign his DS-230 Part II, and was asked a few basic questions - where and when did you meet your wife, when did you get married, and they asked a question about why one of the police certificates had been unobtainable (we had a reasonble justification which they immediately accepted.). Once that was done, the consulate took his passport and told him he would have his passport with visa within a week. Yesterday the passport was delivered to his local post office, and my husband picked it up today - four working days after the interview. Overall it was an easy, relaxed, non-stressful... read complete review

Interview today. Pretty nervous and the fact that I didn't bring my phone didn't really help either. I missed the train I had directions printed out for, but luckily I remembered how to get to the doctor(same stop, pretty much) so I got there fine, albeit a little later than intended.

When I got there, it was pretty difficult to miss what with the flag and the big gate :D. Not entirely sure what time I got there, but there weren't many people yet. Small "border check" with a metal detector and everything and I was allowed in and directed to go to window 5.

Due to the construction you need to go up a ramp first before going into the building. Window 5 is directly on the right if you get in this way. It's in a separate room from the main room with the first 4 windows.

Got called in by name to the window the lady asked for my papers and patiently waited for me to get everything from my folder(Passport, birth certificate, 7 euro postage, financi... read complete review
