Interview was a breeze. I was worried about the strict rules and regulations I had read about everywhere but it wasn't a big deal at all.
Had an 8:30AM appointment and showed up at around 8:10. Security was easy, then the wait began. There were about 6 people who were there before me to get their documents checked. It took an hour before it was my turn. Seems they were only interested in the police certificate, my marriage certificate and my birth certificate (the originals, not copy's). And a copy of my husbands passport.
Waited for about 30 minutes before I got called up to the window again. Consular officer was very friendly and asked me a couple questions:
- how did we meet (and what was our first in-person meeting)
- how did he propose
- what is mine and his job
- his education background
-what i plan to do in the usa
-if my family has met him before
- what we did for our wedding
This took maybe 5 minutes and t... read complete review

Overall a pretty good experience.
My appointment was at 1.30 pm. I arrived at 1 pm and was let in after they checked my appointment, which took about 10 min, because they didn't have the list with (k1) appointments for the day I think. Security was friendly. I had to leave my bag with security, I was not allowed to bring anything in other than the documents required for the interview. I had to take all my documents out of my folder too.
Then I had to wait at the first window for about 5 min, I was the only one in the room at that point. I gave them all the required documents, my passport and two passport photos. They also asked for a copy of my fiance's ID, which was not on their checklist, but fortunately I brought a copy (because someone else in the reviews here mentioned it).
After that was done I had to sit down and wait for the interview. At that point a few more people had arrived, but it was still not busy at all. After about 10 min ... read complete review

Quick appointment; brought checklist + all documents that we submitted to NVC, including W-2s, tax returns, and affidavits with wet signature. Also brought two passport photographs, photo album, and other proof of relationship. Completed entire appointment and interview in less than an hour, was approved on the spot.

It was not busy at all, consular officers were friendly and I was asked some basic questions:
1. When did you meet?
2. How did you meet?
3. When did she come to visit you?
4. Have you ever overstayed a visa?
5. What do you do for work?
6. What does she do for work?
7. Why didn't you just marry in NL?
8. When did she come to visit you?
9. How often do you talk?
10. Do you have wedding plans?
11. Is the app (bumble) you met on an international marriage broker?
12. Do you know your rights and what to do once you enter the USA?
Everything went super smooth, and staff was super patient, although they did mention it was one of their better days.

The questions were very straightforward.
1. Where did you meet your fiancé ?
2. Have you ever been married before ?
3. Did you use a mariage broker ?
4. For how long have you been living in the Netherlands ?
5. When are you planning to get married ?
Most of the staff were friendly but the consular officer that interviewed me seemed to be in a bad mood. Maybe it was the time of the day (afternoon) and I assume because they are under staffed and overworked but nevertheless i answered all the questions. It took about 30 min because there was a misunderstanding of translation on one of my documents that was from a former colony of the Netherlands but was written and legalized in Dutch. I would advise anyone that has a situation like this to get it translated to save yourself the delay because the consular officers are not Native dutch speakers. They are familiar with the documents that come from the dutch government but not the ones fro... read complete review
