I had a lot of trouble getting the interview scheduled. Apparently I was in the wrong section of the website and couldn't get my fee paid. The consulate was very helpful and tried their best to get things straightened out. I had to re-register, pay the fee and re-schedule my interview. My original date was booked full but after another email to the consulate I got the confirmation that my initial interview date still stood.
I had my appointment at 2pm and went in a 1:45pm. It was very crowded. After entering I had to cue on the left side of the room to window 1. There were about 7 people in front of me. At 3:20pm I was called to window 4 instead of window 1. They took my fingerprints and several documents.
- copy and original passport
- 2 pictures
- confirmation of payment
- copy and original birthcertificate
- copy and original of divorce papers
- DS160 conformation page
- copy and origial VOG police certificate

I had my interview appointment yesterday. I got there two hours early so I walked around the museumplein a bit and got something to drink.
30 mins before my appointment I decided to go to the consulatwe, there was no line. The guards let me in right away (maybe because it was so hot outside) wich was really nice because they have A/C. I waited for about an hour before they called out my name. They requested all my documents and had a couple of questions about my fiance's adress and the documents I provided. They also took my fingerprints. After that they asked me to sit down again.
About 15 minutes later I was asked to walk to the other interview room and my interview started. The consular officer was really nice but also really strict. He knew how to take an interview and asked me the same question three times troughout the interview. The questions he asked me were:
* Where and when did you two meet?
* Were you ever married before?... read complete review

I had my interview on July 31st in Amsterdam.
I had to show my passport through the window and my appointment confirmation. Once I showed that, the lady opened the door for me and asked for my phone or any other electronic devices.. I just gave her my cellphone she checked if my bluetooth was on or not. Bluetooth is not supposed to be on!! She let me inside, I went through the metal detector.
Once inside I had to go to a desk, she took my passport and picture and told me to go to desk 2. At desk two the lady took all my original and copies of my documents, took my fingerprints and told me to take a seat, the consul him self would call me for the actual interview.
I sat down for almost 3hours!! People who came in after me, had already left the building with their approval!
Since it's all out in the open, you can hear every conversation, I could hear some of the interviews. The consul himself was asking a lot of questions, ever... read complete review

Straight forward process, helpful and pleasant communication. 7/10
Make sure you print your interview appointment confirmation. For some reason I was not on their list at the door, they initially wouldn't even accept my printed confirmation, can imagine that without it would've been even more difficult to convince them. They ended up calling someone inside and let me in.
Appointment scheduled at 12:00, arrived at 11:45. Actual interview at 1:30, out by 1:40pm.
Documents requested:
- Passport
- Appointment confirmation
- DS160 confirmation
- NOA2
- 2 passport-style pictures
- I-134 and 2017 tax transcripts
- Birth certificate + copy
- VOG + copy
- Copy of biographic page USC
Questions asked:
- Have you lived anywhere outside the Netherlands for longer than 6 months?
- Where did you go to school in the US?
- Have you been in any previous relation... read complete review

My interview was scheduled quite late in the day so when I went to the consulate there was no lines and I could go in straight away. I was about 15 minutes early because I had read there's not point in being much earlier. In hindsight I'm sure that I could have been maybe 30 minutes early and they would have let me in too so if you are scheduled at a time that's not that busy try to go earlier.
Security was like a simple airport security. They told me not to turn on bluetooth but nobody checked my phone. I had read before that immigrant visa are issues in the second room but all interviews were held in the first (again, maybe because it was at the end of the day and not many people were left). I went to the first window and the guy said the person at the second window would check my documents and he would call me so to take a seat. I did, and I waited for a while but nobody called me so I finally got up to check and they had forgotten about me! He even said he already tu... read complete review
