Review Topic: General Review

Interview was quite normal. It was more of a conversation and the young consulate was very polite.
The only drawback was i waited 4 n half hours after i received my token for the actual interview to happen. But that may not be the case for everyone.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My wife had her interview today at the US Embassy in Kathmandu Nepal. She was approved!!!

We arrived just before noon and she was allowed in at 12:30 for a 1pm appointment. She was the 3rd one in the door. They asked for her paperwork first to verify everything was in order. They then called her up for fingerprints. Back to her seat again. She was called up for her interview then and fingerprinted once again.

She was asked:

Where do we meet?
What do you do?
What does your husband do?
Do you and your husband have a child together?
How did you see each other before getting married?
Who all was present at your wedding?
Does your husband visit here often?
Was he nervous about meeting your parents?

They asked for my 2013 tax transcript.
She looked at some of our pictures.

She then advised that her visa was approved and gave a date to collect the passport... read complete review

Review Topic: F-2A Visa

My wife went there early. This is very important as everyone is lined up across the road. At exactly 1 pm the guard will wave you to come inside that's when I said good bye to my wife.

When you get there you show your appointment letter and they let you in. Sometimes they cannot find you on the list so make sure you tell them that you are here for the interview and show them the paper. When you go inside they will ask you for the documents then you get the number and then the wait begins. So my wife was the first one in there but she had to wait for 3 hrs to be called for her interview. My wife told me that the interviewer was very mean.

Make sure you take enough pics and enough evidence of marriage. They can be very picky. Finally after being interviewed for 30 mins she was given the white card with the docs.

2 things to remember:
one your spouse paid the visa fee so make sure you don't pay for it. Two don't let them intimidate you.... read complete review

From my fiance. He also relayed to me that the young american man was very polite and spoke nepali very well. he felt very comfortable and could see they were respectable people.

I reached the embassy at 12:30 to have the interview at 1 pm. They took me to security check and took my bag and they sent me to the interview room. I was the first person to get inside that room and wait for the interview. I was not asked to bring any document for the interview though. (They had already taken my documents when they scheduled appointment day) They wanted me to pay the interview fees that's 24000 nrs. Secondly they called me to take my fingerprint and again wanted me to wait for some time. Now there were around 30 people waiting for interview. I was thinking they would call us into another room for interview. After waiting for an hour they just called my name to the window and started asking questions...... how did you meet ? Why did like to learn that language ? Did you ever... read complete review
