Hello everyone, since my wife does not speak English, she asked me to write a review for her. So here it goes.

We arrived to Juarez last week 6/17 and took a taxi for $245 (pesos) to our hotel room, Holiday Inn Express Las Misiones. The next day she went to the medical interview at approximately 4:40am and was the 10th person in line. She was out by 7:30am with her black sealed envelope. The rest of the week we spent mostly at the mall. One day we got brave enough to tour the city and went to see Juan Gabriel's (a famous Mexican singer) house which he turned into a home for poor youth where they get to stay the week and learn to play musical instruments. He has a small collection of his things (awards, performance costumes, originals of lyrics he wrote on paper, etc.) Entrance was $50 pesos each. Very interesting especially if you're a fan and into helping the poor. Then we visited the Revolutionary War Museum at the old border crossing, the entrance was free and it was ... read complete review

My fiancé and I arrived to Juarez on May 5 2013. His ASC (CAS) appointment was on May 6 at 7:00 am so we arrived a day earlier. His interview was May 9, 2013 at 7:15 am. We were approved! So happy!
Here was his experience.

Day 1: Arrival to Microtel in Juarez. Close to everything great hotel, and decently priced.

Safety: While there were no threatening areas around the embassy there are lots of random people with “official neck cards” asking where you’re going, to help you locate offices, etc. There was also a family asking for money to get home, they said they’d used all their money on the interview. It is important when you arrive to walk around the strip and know your surroundings so that you are not tempted to speak to these people. If anything, just tell them, no, thank you. Some will actually help you; others will try and scam you, and that is why I recommend keeping to yourself. The official security guards at each place are fine to ... read complete review

The Interview was pleasant and very quick. The Man giving the interview said it was his last day and didn't want to find anything wrong so just answer a few quick questions and you will be good to go.

I’m the USC and have been living in Mexico with my husband for almost 2 years, so we did Direct Consular Filing for IR-1/CR-1 visa. We filed our I-130 in Mexico City and then my husband had his interview in Juarez on April 17th and was approved. I didn’t go to Juarez with him, but he has told me about the whole process. So, here’s our review…

SUNDAY:

He arrived in Juarez and took taxi to the Ibis hotel. He had no complaints about the Ibis.

MONDAY: (Medical Exam and Biometrics)

6:30am – He went to the Consulate Information Window to get the invitation letter that we never received from the Consulate. The window opened at 7:30am and there were already 20 people in line ahead of him.

8:15am – He received the letter.

8:30am – He went to Servicios Medicos for his medical exam. There was no line and he entered immediately. He showed his invitation letter, DS-260 confirmation and passport... read complete review
