Also, feel free to write me if you've any questions!

Overall, things went smoother than we had expected. Like everyone says, just be prepared for A LOT of waiting, fees and a city that is not so great for tourists.

We had never received our interview packet from Juarez, but through email they told us they had sent it back in May. We were told we could come to Juarez any day before our interview for a copy. So Monday morning about 7:15 we went to stand in line at the visa info window. They officially open at 8, but started recieving people at about 7:45. Luckily the line was in the shade, because it was really hot out. While we were waiting, Valentin ran accross the street and got his pics taken (150 pesos). I was the only gringa in sight which surprised me- although later on I did spot several other Americans. We got to the little window at 10. The guy was not particula... read complete review

The immigration officer who received all the forms upon entering the consulate was nice in allowing my then fiancee to retake the passport photos. Although we had our own photos, it so happens to be what they prefer. So take them across the street from the consulate, they may make you take them again if you get them elsewhere. They didn't allow me to accompany my fiancee into the interview, so I waited outside for him. TRUE LOVE- I got the worst sunburn one could get ( I looked like a raccoon), there's absolutely no shade. The whole process took a total of about six hours, how tormenting, but well worth it. According to my husband, the interview was very easy going and carefree. The immigration officer asked him how long we had known each other, where we had met, if we were married and if we were going to get married, if I was a US citizen, if all my immediate family were US citizens, if he had met them and he even asked questions about our photos used for evidence who is that,... read complete review

I arrived in El Paso Wednesday June 20th and my wifes family picked me up at the airport and we went to their house in Juarez. The first thing i wanted was the food mmmm. The next morning we went to have my wifes physical about 6:30am. There were 2 offices next to the consulate but the attendant where we parked suggested one over the other because they had a larger waiting room inside. We went in and my wife gave them her passport and Appointment letter. We asked to speak to someone about her being pregnant and they said dont worry they would not take x-rays becuase of this. We sat for about an hour until they called her name. She first sat down with a lady that took her photo and asked a few questions then we returned to the waiting room. About 30 minutes later her name was called and she went into the lab to have blood taken which only took about 15 minutes. Her name was called again about 15 minutes later and she went back to the the examination room. She said the doctor w... read complete review

Overall OK as long you have all your forms in place. Many people did not know what to expect.
