Review Topic: Other Experience

The interview questions were answered honestly and truthfully. They asked for more documents which was very unexpected considering the case documents were very thorough and that the case is on expedite under humanitarian Aid. Due to the coronavirus the administrative processing of the DHL documentation that was sent to the Embassy and received was put on hold. We received an email stating we will be notified when the documents and the Visa are ready to be picked up and he was to return back to Uganda. For a critical case as expedite under humanitarian Aid the wait is excruciatingly long and now with the virus even longer. It is critical that the Visa beneficiary (my husband) reunite with his wife (me) petitioner as soon as possible. The case is very clear and stands on solid ground.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

The US Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya was a very good experience. The interview was scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 8:00 am. I was advised to arrive at least 2 hours in advance, so I arrived at 6:00 am. You need the extra time to go through security, give your required documents to the secretary and select your preferred language for an interpreter.

For my fiance visa interview, I was asked the following questions by the consular officer:
1. How did you meet your fiance?
2. When did you meet your fiance?
3. How did you communicate with her?
4. Where is your fiance living?
5. How many times did you meet in person?

The consular officer was very nice, and the interview went smoothly. It almost felt like a conversation.
