Review Topic: General Review

I will just skip to what happen when i got inside. I was instructed to sit in the A section until i see my # or hear my name call. Sat there for a little over an hour then i was called to window 11 to hand in my documents. she took everything expect for my continue evidence of relationship and my passport. She told me to go and sit back to where i was sitting and wait for interview. I sat with a group of about 45 peeps and waited for a little over 2 hours before i was finally called. i was the 5th to last to get through. My CO was a mean looking white american about later 20s or early 30s. I sat and watch everyone that went to her and they either left with a blue slipped and or a not happy face, didnt want to get her but you dont always get what you want in life. She told me @ the beginning of the interview that the laminated BC wont work but she will get to that at the end

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance wrote this review:

I arrived at about 8:45am for my 9am appt. I asked a security guard what’s the procedure for visa interviews. He said just join the line and have my papers ready. So I dug into my accordion folder that was jam-packed with all of the stuff they asked me to bring to the interview. Thanks to my fiancée, she did an awesome job putting my folder together in a way so I’d be able to find everything I needed when I opened the folder. I took out my passport and appointment letter and proceeded in the line till I got to the check-in area. These people were checking the documents. He asked for my appointment letter and when he checked it, he pulled me from the line and asked for my DS forms. I pulled them out and gave them to him. He asked for my passport photos and I gave him 2 of them which he stapled to 2 of the forms.

He then handed me the forms and told me to keep these in hand because they will ask for them at the beginning of ... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband went in for his interview yesterday. They gave him his interview date 2 weeks before the actual interview date, so it was very difficult for me to get time off from work to go with him. If you guys have the opportunity to go with your spouses, please make the effort, better safe than sorry.

They told him that I would need to come to Jamaica for an interview before they can issue him a Visa.

When he asked the immigration officer WHY?, the guy could not give him a reason. He just kept saying, "Sir, I really want to give you the Visa, but your wife needs to email us and she needs to come in so we can speak with her." He had a great amount of evidence, he was very organized, and he answered their questions correctly. They asked him:

How long we were together?
When was the last time I visited?
When we were married?
Where we were married?
How many people was at the wedding?
If he knows my parent... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Got to the embassy at 7:30 for my appt. went throuh security checkpoint, proceeded to the courtyard sat and waited. after about 15 minutes we were asked to form a line and come inside, documents were checked and I was directed to the right of the room, waited for my number to be called went up to the window I was fingerprinted and the lady asked me for recent job letter for my husband, recent pay slips and 2011 Tax return(my case was completed as F2A before he filed taxes for this year) I was asked to sit back down and wait again for my number to be called two and a half hours later, the consular offucer called me to the window and asked me to sign the DS 230, validate my fingerprint and swear that I will tell the truth. She asked for my passport, asked when and where I got married, asked if my husband was my daughter's father, I said yes, she asked for her birth certificate and that was it she said your visa is approved go to DHL and arrange for your visa to be sent to you.
