I had a 9:30 am interview appointment on Tuesday December 17. We (my fiancé, my sister and I) arrived at the embassy 8:00 am but it was too early so we park in the parking lot that said U.S embassy (a pay lot) across the street from the embassy. We waited there until it was 9:00am and then went over to the embassy. There was a short line outside when I got there. The greeter collect the DS156, DS156K, DS157, passport pictures and appointment letter. She then stapled two (2) of the passport pictures to the forms and handed them back to me. My fiancé had to wait outside, then I went through the security checkpoint. They told him that because of past problems they do not let anyone into the courtyard of the embassy. Then after that I went to the actual embassy interviewing building and was issued a number. I waited for my number to be called. A gentleman at the window collected the DS156, DS156K, DS157, No-impediment (letter), police record, medical report, 4 passport photos, my birth c... read complete review

My husband had his interview on Tuesday, November 26th at 8am. We left Negril at 3am and hit traffic in Kingston so we arrived at the embassy exactly at 8am. There was a short line of applicants waiting to get in and someone checking appointment letters. I asked if I could go into the embassy with my husband and informed them that I was a US citizen but they said only the beneficiary was allowed inside the building. I was given permission to wait in the courtyard in front of the building but most others were told they had to wait across the street. After about 4 hours of waiting I saw my husband emerge from the building. I thought he was finished but then he told me that the CO wanted to meet me. I went through security and was directed to a section of other IR/CR1 filers. I waited with me husband for about 20 minutes until we were both called up to the window. A slim, greyish haired white man greeted me with smiles and swore me in. He then proceeded to tell me that he was conce... read complete review

Fiancée had 9:30 appointment on November 15, got there at 8:30. Greeter outside checked DS-156, 156k,passport appointment letters and passport size pictures. She also asked us where was the DS157 form and I had to explain to her that it was not required for female applicants. She did not believe me but after my insisting that it was not. Required she let my fiancée inside. I had to wait outside. She went through the usual security screening, went to a window where they collected DS 156/156k, I-134 package, police certificate, nonimpediment cert, birth cert. passport pics. Did her finger printing got her number and took a seat after her passport was checked and returned and she paid her fee $240 US. I GAVE HER US$. Because the local rate keeps changing. They also wanted two more passport size pictures because she only took two, but they just made a photo copy of what she had and used that. At 12:30 she emerged from behind the steel door and gave me the thumbs up. Her interview ... read complete review
