Because of the BACKA’TIVE powers of the YARDIE thread here on VJ I had no worries about my interview at all. Matter a fact, we laughed the whole time we were waiting for the actually interview.

Here is how the interview went:
D and I got to the embassy at 6 am for our 730 appointment. There was a short line and a woman meeting cars asking if you needed passport photos or to leave your cell phone with her. She is a shorthaired blonde Jamaican very nice. We did leave an umbrella and phone with her.
The opened the doors at 7 am and made a speech about what you could and couldn’t bring in. We weren’t listening that closely because I couldn’t find D’s passport in our other documents. After hurriedly looking for it, it was in my wallet in my purse – Whew! They don’t let you in without it. Once inside I was yelled at by the older woman security guard for having bottled water in my purse. She asked me why I didn’t THINK to remove it when she told us outside. I told her I was sorry I didn’t hear you and she went on to say how did you not hear me, I said it right before NO LOTION! :crying: She finally let me in after making me drink so... read complete review

Easier than pie.
Three windows: the first to submit paperwork. I forgot to hand in my "proof" of ongoing relationship and an engagement. The second window for fingerprints. The third for the "interview". Turns out they didn't need my "proof" - the CO said she believed me. I was done in 10 minutes flat. The wait overall was over 3 hours, but the actual interview was cheese.
I'd say it's true that their minds are made up before you even get there for the interview.
My advice? Just don't lie. Be up front, honest and open.

Our interview was scheduled for 7:30 am. Please get to the embassy by 5:30 am because the lines are long. We did not get there until 6:15. The security guard opened the doors around 6:40am. We ended up number 8 becuase my fiancee went to ask a question but he was told to go in after showing his letter.
Please, make sure not to bring electronic devices, lotions, lip gloss, etc. Look at embassy restrictions because they were threatning to cancel your interview if you had any of those items.
We were given instructions about having your forms in order. Don't forget your duplicates. Some people were told they would have to be rescheduled because they didn't have them. We were actually in the embassy at 7:00 am.
Window A
Young American lady in training asked for all paperwork. We turned in a new DS 230 Part 1 because my fiance's children were not listed on the original petition or the DS 230 we turned in for the ... read complete review
