My husband had his interview on Tuesday, November 26th at 8am. We left Negril at 3am and hit traffic in Kingston so we arrived at the embassy exactly at 8am. There was a short line of applicants waiting to get in and someone checking appointment letters. I asked if I could go into the embassy with my husband and informed them that I was a US citizen but they said only the beneficiary was allowed inside the building. I was given permission to wait in the courtyard in front of the building but most others were told they had to wait across the street. After about 4 hours of waiting I saw my husband emerge from the building. I thought he was finished but then he told me that the CO wanted to meet me. I went through security and was directed to a section of other IR/CR1 filers. I waited with me husband for about 20 minutes until we were both called up to the window. A slim, greyish haired white man greeted me with smiles and swore me in. He then proceeded to tell me that he was conce... read complete review

Fiancée had 9:30 appointment on November 15, got there at 8:30. Greeter outside checked DS-156, 156k,passport appointment letters and passport size pictures. She also asked us where was the DS157 form and I had to explain to her that it was not required for female applicants. She did not believe me but after my insisting that it was not. Required she let my fiancée inside. I had to wait outside. She went through the usual security screening, went to a window where they collected DS 156/156k, I-134 package, police certificate, nonimpediment cert, birth cert. passport pics. Did her finger printing got her number and took a seat after her passport was checked and returned and she paid her fee $240 US. I GAVE HER US$. Because the local rate keeps changing. They also wanted two more passport size pictures because she only took two, but they just made a photo copy of what she had and used that. At 12:30 she emerged from behind the steel door and gave me the thumbs up. Her interview ... read complete review

We arrived and the embassy at 830am for our 930 interview. The line was short outside. My fiancée went inside about a 845am. She went to security and noticed it was very packaged inside the embassy. She gave the face lady her appointment letter and got her interview number. Later she was called up to submit the DS- 156 DS-156k and DS-157 and her I-134, police record and no impediment certificate. My fiancée went and paid the visa fee ad returned the receipt to the lady she gave the forms. By then it was after 10am. She then waited until 1245 to be called up for her interview.
She went to one of the CO who was giving the other applicants a hard time that day. She said that she was very nervous.
The CO asked her how she was doing and she replied " I am hungry."
The CO laughed and apologized for the long wait.
The CO asked her
How we met?
What her fiancé does for work in the United States?
He then showed... read complete review

Fiance's appointment was November 15 at 9:30. A number was given upon arrival, my fiance said a man who was waiting missed when his number was called. By the time he decided to speak up was told to leave and email for a new appointment. Listen careful for your number to be called, if you hear a number called after yours say something sooner than later. Fiance was asked 2 questions, Do you know your fiancee kids? What does your fiance do on the weekends? The interviewing agent reviewed the paperwork, said did you register for DHL? My fiance said yes, she asked for the paper, since my fiance had allot of paper and could not locate it at the moment; she said ok, your visa will be ready in two weeks verified his contact number said they will call when ready for pickup. She asked do you know where to pick up, gave my fiance a paper with DHL website info.
