K1-We arrived at the Embassy in Kingston an hour early at noon. There were people across the street who would hold our phones for a small fee.
We could not sit on the benches or be on the property until 12:55. At about 1:00 a line formed, there were about twenty people ahead of us. Once we were checked in, we were directed across a courtyard to the interview building. We sat down at about 1:20.
After about a twenty-five-minute wait we were called up for the interview. We were asked the following:
1. How long have we been together
2. How many times have I visited Jamaica (the interviewer was impressed with the number of times I had been; which led to asking what I did for a living... I said IT he said oh, that's why)
3. Has my fiance been to the USA
Our interview was about 10 minutes; we were given a letter to provide an Impediment form and police record. Our interview agent was very nice and wished us luck.

We were at the front of the line though we reached right at our appointment time. We only carried our paperwork and left everything else in the car though a family member came with us to watch our things in the car. Everything was seamless. The wait wasn’t long either. The consular officer was nice and gave us compliments. We received the K-1 visa six days after the interview.

My fiancé arrived at the embassy and was told he could not enter until exactly 1pm. At his appt time he went through security, he was not allowed to keep anything on him except his documents and his belt.
He was screened first to make sure he had the documents required. He then sat back down and waited for his name to be called. When his name was called the officer asked him his name and date of birth.
Questions asked:
-My divorce papers
-I-134
-His passport
-his birth certificate
-When we met
-if he has a relationship with my children
-where and when the wedding will be?
-how many times I have visited him.
Then she said he was approved and once his medical is back his visa will be issued.
