My fiance and I arrived at the embassy at 12:45pm for 1:30pm interview. Went through security without incidence. Proceeded to entrance for visa interviews where a guard took all of our visa forms...DS230, DS156, 156K and 157. He also took my fiance's passport, the 4 passport photos, police report, no impediment to marry and the birth certificate. The guard put all the paperwork in order for the immigration team and sent us inside. We waited in Section A for about 15 minutes until our number was called. At that window, we were asked for the Affidavit of Support, 2007 Taxes & W-2's, Bank statements/ letter, and letters verifying my employment. No 2006 or 2005 info was requested for us. The officer at that window was very friendly and helpful. She even commented on knowing I was attending my fiance's interview because she was the one who'd been answering all my emails. We then sat back down and waited another 15-20 minutes in Section B for my fiance to be fingerprinted. That wa... read complete review

I had a 9.30 appointment. I got there around 8.30. I went straight in after my name was comfirmed on the list(not many people there). Do not take any lotion perfume umbrella sharp objects or electronics with you they are not allowed inside and write your name on the back of your pictures. I went through security then proceeded to the court yard where i met some more secirites who told me what documents you will need to have in hand. I handed the documents the security/reception desk. He stapled them together then returned them to me. He gave me a ticket with my number and pointed me where to go. I waited in section A for 15-20 minutes then my number was called. I went to the desk and handed in my documents, my fiancee when to pay the fee and returned to the window with me. The lady cheked my documents and ticked them off on her little pink list then ask me to proceed to section B. I waited at section B for another 10 minutes then my number was called again. I went up to the desk where... read complete review

If you have any shyness get rid of it because they talk to you through a speaker where everyone can hear what they say to you! We went there early, checked in. You have to the appt letter in your hand before they will let you in and they check for your name on the list. You go through security and metal detectors, and then take a short walk bacak to where the actual embassy is. You go to the check-in desk, the space is so small so make sure you stand where you can fit, but also so no one tries to take your spot in line. I carried a folder with dividers and all the forms very organized. The reception guy was so impressed. He asked for 4 photos, the DS 156/DS 157, the police, birth, non-impediment, and passport. He checked them and gave us a number and we went in and took a seat in section A. They called our number and requested the same docs the recptionist did, plus my tax info and I-134. She was tossing our stuff around, guess she was having a bad day, but then she asked me to stand t... read complete review

Horrible ordeal. My fiance is much younger than I and he was grilled for nearly 20 minutes by the interviewer at the window with everyone listening. She asked very personal questions, even when we had sex the first time. She called my fiance a "liar" several times. All I could do was hold my head in hands and shake. After grilling him she called me to the window and smiled and said, "do you know what you are doing?" amongst other things. She then called him back and gave us the pink slip and told us to go across the street to airpack. I was in shock and couldn't believe that after all that she approved us.
