Everything went well at the embassy except for the fact that I wasn't aware that I couldn't bring any electronics (i.e., phone, ipod, etc.) or my umbrella. I was kinda leary about where to store my belongings during our interview, but there are people outside of the embassy who hold your belongings for a fee of 100JD/item held. After asking for my holder's real first and last name (i.e., not his nickname, but the name his mama gave him), I decided to trust him with my stuff and was pleased that everything was intact after our interview. Lesson learned: leave all of your electronics @ home or in your car!!!

I went to JA for my hubby's interview we arrived at 6:50am (i know we were super early) we sat outside until 8:00am they we proceeded to the entrance which there was a very long line but i was told to proceed to the front since we are what they call "Filing" and i was told the others in the long line were "Non-Immigrants" we left everything in the car so security was a breeze a young lady at the door took two of my hubby's passport pics and wrote his name on the back and put them inside his passport and inserted the first page of our interview appointment letter inside the passport as well, they asked for my passport to prove i was the one filing for him them we proceeded to the courtyard and was directed to the check-in counter, we were given a number at 8:15am we were inside while waiting we noticed the numbers were not in order as we already knew by other reviews and we noticed the process as well(first call finger prints, medical and document check, second call interview) also we n... read complete review

The intervew was scheduled for Feb. 11 @ 8:30 am. We stayed nearby at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was nice and about a 15 min drive.

We arrived at the embassy at 8:25, there was a very long line but we went right up to the ladies with clipboards, they took his appointment letter, passport and forms. They put the forms in order and reviewed my passport. We then went through security, just like when you are at the airport.

We proceeded to the building where we were given a #. We waited about 40 min until our # was called. We went up to the window and the lady put the papers in a different order and again reviewed his passport. She directed us to go and have his fingerprints taken. The wait for that was about 5 min and the actually fingerprinting took a couple of minutes, I stood there with him while he did this.

We then went back to the sitting area and waited for our # to be called again. This took about 40 min also. Our # was ... read complete review

I was unable to attend my husband’s interview but I made sure that he was well prepared. I sent him copies of ALL the forms that I submitted to the NVC along with payment receipts. He arrived at the embassy at 8am. He said traffic around that area was crazy. He went in sat on the “immigrant” side of the waiting area. He went to the first window where they collected his interview letter, took his fingerprints, took medical packet, and asked him who was filling for him. Then he sat back down. Then he was called up to the second window where the interview was conducted, the lady asked him a couple of questions then asked him to pick up the phone. The asked him: when were we married? how long has he known me?, who do I live with?, do I have any kids?, what’s her name?, where do I work? And what kind of work I do? She then asked for his passport, told him he was APPROVED , and told him to go pay the DHL fee. When he got outside he was able to buy a call from a vendor’s cell... read complete review
