I was unable to attend my husband’s interview but I made sure that he was well prepared. I sent him copies of ALL the forms that I submitted to the NVC along with payment receipts. He arrived at the embassy at 8am. He said traffic around that area was crazy. He went in sat on the “immigrant” side of the waiting area. He went to the first window where they collected his interview letter, took his fingerprints, took medical packet, and asked him who was filling for him. Then he sat back down. Then he was called up to the second window where the interview was conducted, the lady asked him a couple of questions then asked him to pick up the phone. The asked him: when were we married? how long has he known me?, who do I live with?, do I have any kids?, what’s her name?, where do I work? And what kind of work I do? She then asked for his passport, told him he was APPROVED , and told him to go pay the DHL fee. When he got outside he was able to buy a call from a vendor’s cell phone and called me to tell me the awesome news. He said it was easy and the interviewer was nice. They didn’t ask for any of the evidence that he had or any additional papers.
