Questioned him for an hour. AFTER the questions, asked for additional supporting documents and a new new joint sponsor. Put us in Administrative Processing. First inqiury replied saying consulate would review within 2 to 3 weeks. Second inquiry replied we are now in "additional" administrative processing (whatever that is) that takes 9 months or longer, and that we would have to renew the already completed medical, police certificates, and DS260; since they will probably expire before this dickcrap excessive processing is complete.

We had a wonderful consulate interview, after waiting ten months (!) for our i-130 to be approved! It took about a month and half to receive an interview appointment after our case left the NVC.
The appointment was scheduled for 8:45 and my husband was out of there within 3/4 of an hour. He was received by three different people. It was very helpful that we had originals and photocopies of all of our documents, although they only asked for the documents checked on the interview appointment letter. They asked about how/where we met, our wedding, what we both do for a living, and how we've prepared for our move to the States.
At the end, they told us he was approved and we should be receiving the passport and visa within 10 days!
Much better than expected after the year of waiting for various offices to approve various forms.
There were others there that were sent away and not (yet) approved because they were missing various forms, so be very organized. Bri... read complete review

All in all everything went really smoothly. The whole thing took about two hours and my wife had to wait in the car. The woman that I spoke with for the interview was very friendly. She asked a lot of general questions about our relationship (where does my wife live, how long have we been together, what do we both do for work) and about where we're planning to live in the US. We really front loaded our application with a lot of documentation about our relationship and my wife still has a car, bank account, insurance and voters registration which we included as proof of domicile along with a letter from her explaining her move to Israel and a statement from her mom that we're going to live there for a while after we move so we had a pretty solid case.

If you bring your phone or any electronics that aren't allowed, the consulate has a small storage area next to security where you can keep them. I definitely recommend bringing a book or newspaper because 90% of the time yo... read complete review

I had to wait over 3 hours past my scheduled interview time. Eventually my name was called, and I walked towards the consular officer who seemed nice compared to the rude receptionist in the front. I was asked casual questions regarding the workplace of my spouse, and how we met. At the end, he congratulated me on my visa approval, and told me to wait for another officer to explain to me the next following steps.
