Very smooth experience with large amount of parking in Jerusalem's Arnona neighborhood.

Arrived early in the morning for an 8 AM appointment. You hand in some of the requested documents at the window + they already have all of the medical exam details and so on digitally.

As the sponsor(husband) and a US Citizen - you must stay outside once your partner goes is called into the embassy.

Interview was fairly routine, quick and without any pressure. Spouse was informed they will approve the visa.

Honestly not nearly as difficult as all of the petition application/NVC craziness one must submit before getting to the actual interview.

During the interview, the interviewer was very cordial. She didn’t ask too many questions from me . I have never felt that it was an actual interview. It was just a kind of validation of the documents I have submitted.. The question that I remember was “ what do you plan to do in America?”. I also brought so many proof that our marriage is bonafide but she never asked to see it. I also brought my husband’s I-864 but she didn’t even ask for it. After the interview , she told me right away that my papers are ok and that I can have my visa in less than 2 weeks . After I got home , I checked my status online and it says my visa has been printed. After 5 days , I got a notification that I can pick up my passport at the official pickup point near me. After I got my visa, I booked my flight to the US. I will be flying on the 25th of May.

My husband had the interview and had to wait a long time in line due to Covid-19 restrictions and complications with them accepting the fact that my husband did not have the police certificate from where he was born (USSR - what is now known as Ukraine) since he doesn't have citizenship there and has never even been there since moving to Israel. The actual interview went fine and he was asked general questions about our relationship. I had prepared a stack of papers for the interview but no one even looked at them, not even the pictures I had him bring. Since I am living with my spouse in Israel I was worried about proving my intent to re-establish domicile in the US since all I had was my voting records over the years, Federal taxes filed, updated SS card, a place to live with family when we move and correspondence with family members and a close friend. I didn't have a bank account or driver's license or rent contract and I don't have kids so I didn't have anything regarding school r... read complete review

My husband said it was a very good experience overall. There was a very cranky woman asking him for his papers. She didn’t tell him what she needed, just looked at him like he was inconveniencing her.
My husband can’t say enough about the guy who approved his visa. He said he was very kind, very patient with him, very sweet, asked good questions, then approved him.

All in all good experience.

Everyone was super friendly and professional from the security staff up to the interview officer. Everything went smoothly and didn't take too long.
