Short wait once through, quite straightforward and interviewer was very professional. Be sure to have all your documents in order, and bring any spare or additional supporting documentation with you in case extra evidence is required.

Arrived early for my interview. They don't let you in early.
Apparently all the K1 interviews are schedule for the same time and you ate call in alphabetical order. I was last to be called and was very uncomfortable 5o hear all the other interviews.
My interview was very quick once they called my name. I swear say only the tryth, they asked where I met my fiance and when. "Where is he now?" And done.
He said everything was ok but the translation in my birth certificate was incorrect so I had to send it to them. They holded my passport.
I posted on the same day. 2 days later my case was updated to approved. By the next week I had the passport read to collect in Dublin. It was really quick.

Said I'd finally write a review, as it wasn't long ago I was agonising over these pages, making sure I had everything in order before I booked in and want to say thanks to everyone that wrote such great info below that helped a lot in preparing for this.

My appointment was first thing in the morning, arrived 15 mins early and was 2nd in the queue outside. Got in fairly smart and was at the first desk before 8am. This was the most nerve-wracking part, as the lady wasn't overly enthused about my application and said she'd need to talk to the officer about it. Cue 30 mins of me waiting and thinking I'd messed everything up by not having a signature in the right place!

Thankfully, I was just worried over nothing. The young guy at the interview window was so friendly and approachable that he made the chat we had a breeze and eventually stopped me rambling about WhatsApp video calls and said "let me be the first to congratulate you".

At the first window he was asked for the following:
Passport
Passport photo (just 1)
Birth cert
Marriage cert
My divorce decree
Medical packet

At the interview:
Take oath to tell the truth
Fingerprints

Where did we meet
Where will you be living
Last time we saw each other

He got there at 7:50 for his 8:00 appt. Was out by 9:00.

I had my k1 Interview on October 15th at 1pm. I arrived around 15 minutes early and was told to just wait to be called in at 1. Once called in it's like airport security, no liquids allowed etc and electronics get locked in a little locker and you get given the key and told to go through.

I was first in the line so once I went in I got called almost immediately to give in my documents. I got asked for my passport, passport photos(USA size) original birth certificate + photocopy, Original divorce decree from my fiance's previous marriage +photocopy, Police Certificates, I-134, 2018 Tax transcript and a letter from my fiance's employer confirming his income. Once I had given all the paperwork I was told to take a seat and wait to be called.

The interview with the consular officer was a really pleasant experience, he seemed really friendly and approachable and it was just like having a chat, he told me to tell him about my fiance, how did we meet, when did w... read complete review
