Unfortunately we had and experience, my fiancé did not get a visa. After 3 months waiting under administrative recess then he refused the visa under 221g. Then we got married and re-apply for a spouse visa, hope she can get a visa this time.

We got a refusal letter for 221g administrative processing. They kept his passport at the embassy. They have updated our case status 4 times so far but it still says AP javascript:emoticon('')

My Fiance had such a great experience at the Embassy in Baghdad. The Consular who interviewed him was very nice and didn't ask a lot of stupid questions but questions of relevance. At the end of the interview he told my fiance' "I want to approve this now but I need the documents that are missing" My fiancé had some trouble getting his letter of no conviction but had the receipt that it was in the works, and even though I sent tax transcripts they wanted w-2s. Any way Long story short. The consular told him that as soon as they got our documents he would approve everything, which I think has been done because the dates have changed on the status page but not the actual status. I am guessing he should have his passport back in a couple of weeks and will be on his way here.

My fiance's interview went pretty well. His consulate was in Baghdad. He said that they didn't ask him so much about our case but asked him a few about his own parents and a little about us like how did we meet and how we knew each other, etc. He didn't exactly get approved on this day because they asked for 3 more things so my fiance has to send those things to them but they did take his passport and told him that he will get it back in 4 to 8 weeks. So I am guessing that he got approved, he just has to send them the things they asked for. javascript:emoticon('')
