My wife got interview just only for 5 minutes by the consular officer , he just asked where we got honeymoon, etc and that it she got approved right away. praise the lord.

My visa appointment was at 1 pm (all Immigrant Visas (IV) are at 1 pm) BUT you are allowed to enter the embassy from 11:30 am (which is recommended).

Once you enter, you have to wait in order of entrance (first come, first serve). At 12:00, the first person is called to a window to provide original documents. At this window, you'll have to provide - your original birth certificate, original marriage certificate, all original background checks (if applicable), original divorce degree (if applicable), and 1 photo (US standards). There were address changes to my DS-260 so I provided an errata sheet as well at this window. Then you are asked to sit down and wait for your interview. You will also provide fingerprints.

At 1 pm, the first person is called for an interview. The procedure is as follows:

1) Raise your right hand and take an oath swearing all documents are correct.

2) Questions: We were missing a background check from... read complete review
