I only have good things to say about the interview process.
We arrived at the embassy 30 minutes early. We knew it was too early but we were afraid to be stuck in traffic if we left too late. We waited outside until 10 minutes before our appointment time. We showed the email from the embassy and went right in.
We went straight to window 5, as instructed in our email. I found the lady at window 5 to be pretty friendly. She was impressed that all of our documents were in perfect order. We went to window 6 after finishing at window 5. Window 6 is where you pay the fee of 240 USD. The lady at window 6 asked us to sit until our name was called.
About 20 minutes later, a man asked us to step to window 1. He took my fiance's fingerprints and made him swear to tell the truth. After that, he asked my fiance' and I a few questions. The questions were:
1. How did you meet?
2. What does your fiance' do in the USA?
3. Where will you live?
4. Who in... read complete review

My K1 visa interview was scheduled September 10, 2013 at 12:30 PM. I arrived at 12:05, I showed my appointment email print out to the guard but there wasn’t my name on the list. He asked me whether it’s an immigrant or non immigrant visa, I wasn’t sure so I said K1 visa and apparently it’s considered as an immigrant visa. I had to wait standing around 20 minutes in front of the gate, it wasn’t so bad. Then the security guard asked all of the people waiting to prepare our passports in hand, turn off our cell phones and he gave out each of us a tray to put our cell phone, ear phone, any electronic device, stapler, nail clipper. He let all of us in, scanned my bag, gave me a name tag and a card to pick up my stuffs.
I went inside the consulate office. Since there was a pretty long queue the consular lady also opened window 7, besides window 5 as mentioned in packet 4. She scanned through my documents so fast, I was kind of nervous at this point as some VJers tal... read complete review

I admit that I didn't feel nervous or worried, I felt comfortable and confident today (I highly recommend it). Three and a half hours ago today I faced the officer to be interviewed for the K1 Visa.
I arrived at the consulate 30 minutes before the appointment time, made friends with three other girls and even exchanged email address because we suddenly connected to each others
The security guard gave me a tray where I put my mobile in it and they kept it, I went inside and at the window 7 the lady asked me the required documents. She wasn't unfriendly, my new friends and I did silly things and she laughed because it was funny. She assisted me well and I enjoyed it. The ladies at window 5 and 7 have the same of face expression, maybe that's how the face they have so people said that the lady at window 5 is unfriendly. Lucky that I had the lady at window 7 assisted me because I think she is friendly
Then I paid $240 cash in Rupia... read complete review

Beings my wife was the one there and not me, I can only tell what she tell me, but it was relativly easy as she has much faith and didn't appear to be nervous before hand and I never tell her of the woman most write at window 5 that is not so nice, but after the interview I asked her about the woman at window 5 and she said she didn't have to go to visit with her as all her paper work was sent to the Embassy by the NVC and the only thing she had to bring with her was her passport, exame from doctors office and proof of our on going relationship. They asked her a few simple questions such as where I work my job title and about where she will live and what are her plans once she arrive. Whole process was about 30-45 minutes so much simpliar than I had anticipated and thankful she was approved as I look forward to starting a new life with the woman I love. I do want to thank all that posted before me as it was helpful and although my wife is not here in Amercia just yet, it will happen so... read complete review
