Interview was smooth sailing, it no longer than 5 minutes. I was asked a basic question such as:
- How did we meet?
- When was the first time we met in person?
- How many times, and where was it?
- When was the last time we saw each other?
- What does he do for a living?
And along with the new mandatory questions:
- "Have you experienced harm or mistreatment in your country of nationality or last habitual residence?"
- "Do you fear harm or mistreatment in returning to your country of nationality?"
That was it, the consular officer didn't ask for other proof either.
Note: per the announcement that was posted on March 25, 2026: effective March 30, 2026, all K1 visa will be refused initially and will receive a 221(g) for an expanded social media screening, but the visa was approved and issued the next day.

The ambience is so cozy and the officer is so nice.
The interview went smoothly and felt like just had a chit chat with friends.
