I am going through something similar...
... for me noone is telling me anything... ok so here is my case i got married in Jan 2007 and filed for my I 130 in April 2007 ( i should not have waited 3 mo to file but i thought it would be better ) and I filed I 130 spousal visa CR-1
.... ok so finally my petition is approved from USCIS and NVC by May 2008 and they sent over the case to Bombay (wrong consulate) they reschedule our interview at the right consulate, Delhi. My husband went for his interview in July 2008, after the interview they gave him a 221g AP for more proof such as a family tree, addresses and phone numbers of all relatives, guest list, emails, phone records, voters card ok so we sent them everything to the VFS office with his passport. They sent back his passport with no visa. They said its in Administrative Processing....

its been 7 months and still no word. I went to my Congressmans office and they gave me the same response. I call DOS and ... read complete review

I went to the interview with my husband in hopes that might help clear up any doubts.Although, I knew I couldn't join in the actual interview, I went up to the window pretending to help carry documents.I wanted to make sure the interviewer saw me.He kindly said hello to me and asked if I could please take a seat.He asked my husband about six questions and gave him a white sheet of paper,it was a 221g that stated our case would need further administrative processing. What that ended up being is just security checks for name and fingerprints.

Interview was passed, unfortunately, was given a 221g for engagement ceremony that never happened. He tried to explain, but they insisted. We have turned in an extensive letter along with a notarized affidavit signed by me on Novemeber 17, 2008, but still have not received a response. Only that a consular will hav to review before a decision is made. We also submited an extensive phone record dating a year's worth of phone calls, along with cards, letters, photos of us together. When will we be able to receive a specific response??

We had kind of a peculiar case than most of you guys, so my interview was based on 2 issues which I don’t think I have ever encountered with any other couple in these forums.

1--- We had Arya samaj wedding but we never registered that marriage, we were told that Arya samaj certificate is sufficient enough as its valid and legal in India.
2—After marriage in 2004, my husband couldn’t make it back to India due to severe financial issues, he did come a few days ago, but we haven’t been able to physically meet with each other for 4 years.

7:15 am – Reached Consulate
7:25 am – Finger printing
7:45 am – Prescreening interview—gave me my original documents also asked these questions—
i) where is your husband currently
ii) when did he come to India
iii) how long you two are married
iv) asked me for my marriage registered certificate—I said I don’t have it because we had Arya samaj wedding an... read complete review
