Interview process was fairly simple, though it did take a long time. I (US petitioner) was allowed to enter with my fiance at 8:15am for our 8:30am appt. Everyone was helpful, and as long as you have your documents in order, you shouldn't have a problem. Here was the process: 1st window-Biometrics confirmation, 2nd window- show all documents, give the Affidavit of Support, etc. 3rd window- Interview (less than 10 minutes...questions like tell me your story, what are your plans, anyone from your family going to the US for the wedding, when is the wedding...simple and straightforward stuff). Visa approved then and there, with instructions on picking it up after 5 business days. We got out around noon.

Approved!!!
My CR1 visa got approved on August 31st.
It was very easy lasted for 5 minutes. VO was very cool and friendly. My sweet husband came from the US and was there with me during the interview that helped me a lot in being relaxed during the interview. questions asked during the main interview:
1. how did you guys meet?
2. where do my husband work?
3. where do we live after going to the US?
4. How the joint sponsor related to my husband?
5. what happened to my H1 ( I was in US for about 6 years, went on F1 then got H1 and later extension got denied)?
6. My husband was asked to submit his latest 1040 tax form
VO kept my passport and said your interview went well and we have all the docs except 1040. email it ASAP and your good to go.
My husband emailed it immediately after reaching the hotel. we got the approval on Sep 2nd. collected the passport and package on 8th ... read complete review

The good: Interviewer was genuinely helpful and pleasant. Didn't ask for photographs or proof of ongoing relationship. Asked my wife the age I immigrated to US and who sponsored me. In and out in less than 2 minutes.
The bad: My wife spent 3 hrs waiting while they verified my financial documents before the actual interview. The worst part about this is my wife went there with her father (who is very old) and there is no waiting area. It's a huge facility, but they make your relatives stand outside and even there, there are no benches or place to sit. It's just a road outside the building.

So, post the letter from the Mumbai consulate that came in 16days (June 4th DCF in Delhi, 20th the letter was mailed from Mumbai), I scheduled the Police Clearance Certificate Appointment on 22nd June at the Lalbaugh PSK in Bangalore. You have to take an appointment online on the passport service website and pay the fee of INR 500.
At the PSK, I was asked for the documents at the reception - Interview Letter, Passport copy and since my passport had a different address from the current address, I was asked for address proof of the current address. I gave them my IT Returns for the last two years. It was accepted and I was given a token. Once I entered the PSK, I was asked to go to Counter A where they took my fingerprints, entered ALL Details, compared it with what was entered online, cross checked documents, charged me 35INR for SMS alerts and asked to wait for my token to flash for Counter B. (Counter A - is run by TCS and is very efficient) Immediately after leaving co... read complete review
