Flew down to support my fiancée for the interview.Since NWD is an embassy, I was allowed inside. We Stayed at Cosy grand 10 mins from embassy and reached an hour prior to our 9am interview. After security check, we were allowed inside and followed a red line and waited for our turn for a token. First, my fiancée had to do a right hand biometric and collect a token.
After she was given the token our number was called so one of the CO's can check original docs and prepare our folder for the interview. Aha.. We had to wait additional 15 mins since they misplaced our K1 file folder. Finally after doc verification , we waited our turn for the final interview . I was gently asked by CO to sit back as my fiancée attended the interview. I could still hear everything
Questions were how did you meet , when are you planning a wedding, how many times did he visit you etc. took about 10-15 mins and she was handed over a yellow paper after approving the visa .

Arriving at the Embassy you'll find that there's phone storage across the street, inside a small guard box. It's 50 rupees and you can store your phone there for after your Embassy Interview. (Ask the Embassy guards for directions, it wasn't obvious where this was for us.)

There's three lines total for entering the Embassy, all guarded off by tape, American Citizen Services, Immigrant Visa, and Non-immigrant visa. We got a guard's attention and they instructed us inside, using the Non-immigrant visa path (It was actually empty outside, no lines, very few people the day we went.) Heading around the tape we eventually came inside for a security check. Frisked us down, scanned our documents via x-ray, you know, the usual.

Heading inside we reached the courtyard, which is filled with rows of green seats for people to wait in. However, again, it was very empty. No one was in the Non-immigrant waiting area, or even the Immigrant Visa waiting area. We asked a nea... read complete review

Everything went well. I went to India to be with her. The interview was @ 9 AM. We were allowed to get in @8AM. Waited until 10 AM and then got into the interview area. We got a token number. Went to a counter and they checked all the documents and collected. For 1-130, they took only 2014 tax return, no W2 form, pay slips or employment letter (but good idea to take those). Then waited and called for interview @ 12 noon. All the regular questions, but it seems that the CO did not go through our file (has everything), she asked for the photo album and plan for marriage proof. The Interview was for 15 minutes. I was with her except the interview time. But I said hallo to the CO. The main theme is to take all the paper you submitted and also the originals. They did not ask for Skype or other proof of relationship from us. I have seen quite a few immigrant visa rejected (mainly marriage based) due to not having proper paper work or not having sufficient or satisfact... read complete review

Entered the consulate at 9:15am for the 9:30am interview, took 2hrs total to complete the inteview got out the consulate about 11:30am.

Interviewer asked a lot of questions regarding our marriage, asked for wedding album, had to show the entire album and he asked me each and every person in the family from the pictures. Asked about husband's parents and their occupation. The verbal interview part was 30 mins long. About translator- She was trained on my language, so rather than helping, she was confusing me by word-by-word translation. Because of that I was getting nervous and i was keep forgetting the answers.
