The process was much like our attorney said it would be. Both my fiancée and I were even more nervous because of this being a same gender application and the fact that my fiancée had come undocumented to the US once before under a petition of asylum. So, we weren't sure if he was still under a bar (penalty).

Both of us were permitted to enter the embassy together. No one gave us a bad time and we were treated with the upmost respect. First we were called up to a window to hand over all of the documents we needed to collect. There was a brief interview at that point. Then we were called up to a room to speak with the gentleman who gives the final word. He asked many questions about my fiancee's previous undocumented visit. I had every court paper and was able to give a full timeline showing we followed the law throughout the process, electing to return my fiancée to his country within the deportation grace window. We were not asked any embarrassing questions about ou... read complete review

I probably should have run two accounts side by side because all along I have two petitions- one for my wife and one for my stepdaughter- my wifes case was complete at the NVC without any checklist 30 days before my stepdaughters case was complete because of one checklist-- was hard to fit that info in the format here- and I am feeling the same NOW -- my wife case was approved at the interview- but my stepdaughters case was put in AP status - because of complications with her birth certificate- I thought I had all the bases covered on that but we did not---

I have to get an attorney involved here in Honduras to clear it up that should take about a month- in the meantime my wife and biological daughter will be returning with me as soon as we get our hot little hands on her passport ( hopefully by Tuesday afternoon at the latest (flight is at midnight Tuesday)

As far as reviewing the consulate they were professional kind and courteous, they delivered factu... read complete review

HOLA A TODOS!!

I remember a year ago when I use to come in here and read the amazing stories and wonder how mine would be and how long it would take.. Time flew.. and the day came :D

I didn't go to the interview, but he said his interview was at 7am he got there at 6:20 and had to make a long line. Once he went inside he went through security and than to a window where they ask you personal question about himself and me. That took like 20 minutes.. Than they had him wait for his interview. He said that they took him to an office where the agent asked him more personal question in details. For example:

Where was I born ?
Do I live there?
Who do I live with?
OH so shes independent... Where does her parents live?
Where would he live when he goes to the US?
HOw many times have I gone to Honduras to see him?
How did I manage to go to Honduras if I work and he works as well?
The dates of my trips to... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-2 Visa

Hello. I am baffled by something. My stepson made it through the entire interview process and was told that the Visa is approved. HOWEVER he was told he has to register online with DHL so the Visa will be sent to him in 6 days? All of the previous posts regarding the interview process state that the applicants could pick up the visa next day from the consulate?

He lives in the same city where he had his interview. Does anyone know what site he needs to register for online? Is this something new? BTW I could not find anything on Consulate in Honduras website regarding this procedure. Please advise if someone has experience or knowledge of this process.

THANKS!
