We arrived about an hour earlier than our appointment time so that we would not be late. Had to sit and wait until about 10:00am to turn in the paperwork requested for the interview. We were greeted by a very polite young lady. We were informed that we did not have the proper picture size so immediately I started to panic thinking they would turn us away. The lady told us not to worry as we would be informed by the interviewer if we could leave and go get the proper pictures or not. We were sent back out to the waiting area where we waited for another hour. Once my husband was finally called we both went in the lady asked my husband who I was then turned to me asked if I was only here for the interview or the holiday. I answered she said thank you now you can go back outside and wait and leave everything in your hands right here. So I went back outside where I waited for about 15mins until my husband came out. As he was walking out I saw the white denial paper in his hands and my heart... read complete review

Interview scheduled for 8:30 we arrived at about 7:45 and their were two lines . One for permanent visa and one for people who were applying for a visitors visa . We joined the permanent like which seemed to me the longest and waited there until about 9 pm. After that we were sent inside were we waited for our names to be called . After about 3 hours we were called in to give in out document such as affidavit police clearance Tex form and things of that sort and sent back outside .a half hour after that were were called in . The Co asked if I was the sponsor and I replied yes . After that she asked me to leave so she can interview my fiancé .after about 5)-10 minutes he returned outside APPROVED!! The CO was very nice and friendly . Did not feel intimidated at all everything she asked he was able to answer so happy this part is over !! Now port of entry !!

Interview was scheduled for 8am and we arrived at 7:30 am. The process was smooth as we were out by 8:45am. We met with two officers. The first one was guyanese and he collected my fiances police clearance, birth certificate, passport photos and proof that he paid the visa fee. He also took his finger prints. Officer asked me how long I was in the country for and i told him a few days. We were then sent back outside to wait and go over a domestic voilence waiver. He was then called in the second time and this time it was by an american and she asked him who I was and then asked me what my name was. Other questions asked were

1. Where/how did we meet?
2. How many times have I travelled to Guyana?
3. When did he propose?
4. When is the wedding?
5. If his family will attend and how many people will attend
6. How long have we been together?

I was not asked for any proof but maybe that was because I sent in a few with my petit... read complete review

It's ok to arrive early, but the wait is a bit long. My interview was a little tough but only because we had a few red flags in our case. Being honest with the officer is the most important thing...trust me they will know if you lie! The officers also have access to your social media accounts so if possible make stuff available to the public before hand. Overall my interview started out a little tough but when he said 'congratulations' all of that didn't matter! Good luck to anyone about to take this step and please...remember to be honest!...Also if your case has red flags it may be better to have your spouse attend with you.

When I had my interview, I was asked about three or four questions and the young lady just pulled out the approval slip and gave it to me. She didn't have to print it out or anything.

My interview was scheduled for 9:00am and my husband and I got there around 8:45. We sat there until 10:35am and then someone came out and had us take the oath. After which, we had to wait another half hour or so. Finally they called my name and instructed which window I was to go to. Got up to the window, a very polite gentleman asked for all my documents and my husband's 2015 taxes. He asked for my pictures, my recent copy of my birth certificate, an updated police clearance and that was about it. He stapled everything together and I was ten printed then told us to sit back outside until I hear my name called.

After about ten minutes, my name was called again and my husband and I went into the room. A very polite young lady was gonna be conducting our interview and she as... read complete review
