It was a really smooth process. The was some decent waiting time and I was asked for original copies of my civil documents (birth certificate and divorce court order), which I had because I had inquired about extra documents to have through email beforehand. The person who conducted Ted the interview was really friendly and easy-going and he tried to reassure me when I seemed stressed. At the end, I was told that all K1s go to administrative review but it would be fast and they rarely call people back. Overall process from entry to exit took around 2 hours. I checked status on caec the next day and my visa was approved. On the 20th status changed to issue and on the 21st I received my passport and packet.

My fiancé was with me and I asked the security at the entrance that I am here for fiancé visa and if the petitioner can also come in, they allowed him to come.
The whole process took about 2 hours (many applicants were waiting)
First I was called at the booth and they asked for my passport and photo
The agent asked me if it’s my first marriage, if it’s my fiancés first marriage and asked to see the original divorce degree of my fiancé
She asked if he has kids
She asked where we met and if we have met in person, I said yes three times now and said he is here also and she called him also to the booth, said it’s not required but it’s a good things he came
She asked him what he does for a living and if his kids live with him
Then asked me to write down my address and telephone
She saw I also have a tourist visa and said this will be cancelled if I get approved

Long wait times until your case is called to the window but the processing itself was quite fast and painless. The interview questions were basic and easy to answer, such as describe how you met your fiance, how many times have you met, talk a bit about your engagement etc. The consular was friendly and very polite. He said my paperwork was all in order and that I would get my passport by courier in a week. All in all a great experience!

My wife had her interview today. She arrived at 8am for an 8:30am appointment. After going inside she provided some initial documents for review. Then she waited for 30 minutes until she was asked for another set of documents. She waited about 2.5 more hours until approximately 11:30am to speak to a consular officer. 15 minutes later she was approved.
Make sure to follow every instruction perfectly as written on their website. Email the consulate often for clarifications and to make sure they have everything they need prior to arrival. They denied several people who did not follow instructions properly and they were clearly upset.

Overall excellent communication from embassy. The interview was not held in a private area. Interview was simple questions.
