My fiancé’s interview was at 9:30am. He arrived at 9am and his interview began shortly after 9:30. The interviewer asked him several questions: 1) Where does your fiancée work, 2) Does she have kids? How old? 3) Was your fiancée married before? How long? 4) Where does your fiancé live? The interviewer then went through all of our pictures and asked a few questions about them. She was super nice and even complimented our pictures and how great of a job I did organizing the documents for the interview. Then she told my fiancé that we looked very much in love and gave the K-1 visa approval.

Very impressive experience at the consulate. The whole process, plus the waiting time lasted for about 15min. Both the lady at step 1 and the CO at step 2 were very friendly.

Documents submitted: Original birth, marriage, and police certificates, passport photo

Documents brought but never submitted (not asked for): Original Affidavit of Support; email, phone, social media logs

Questions:
(a) I see you have a non-Ghanaian passport, where were you born and what are you doing in Ghana?
(b) You have several police certificates, help me connect the dots, where did you reside in first? She retained my original Ghanaian passport since I had to retake a new one and had not uploaded to the CEAC site.
(c) Where did you meet your spouse?
(d) How did your relationship progress from the time you met up to now?
(e) What does your spouse do?
(f) I see you have a joint sponsor, tell me bout him?
(g) Have you ... read complete review

Overall, a pleasant experience. Everyone was nice and friendly, but the interview was still very thorough.

The initial lady collected the following documents:
- My passport
- Passport pictures
- Police reports

The interview lasted about 30 mins despite the fact I was asked many questions.
I kept my answers short and clarified just a couple of points to the CO.

Interview question:

1. How did you meet your husband?
2. How did your relationship progress from there?
3. How much older is your husband than you?
(A lot questions surrounded my husband because of the age gap between us.)
4. When did you say you met?
5. So you have known your husband for 8 years and married for the last 2 years. How come it took you both that long to get married?
6. Can I see your wedding pictures?
7. How many people were at each of your traditional and white weddings?
