I had my interview on January 3rd at 8:00 a.m. and arrived in Frankfurt the night before to spend the night next to the consulate at hotel Friedberger Warte.
I went over at 7:30 a.m. for my appointment and had to stand in line outside for maybe 15 minutes. There is a window where you need to show your passport and you will get marked of the appoinment list. Some ppl have to show different papers, depending on their Visa´s. The person behind the window asked me for my DS-156 Form that I did not not have but still got my receipt and went through security (just like at an airport).
Then you live the entrance part and walk towards a huge building. Inside is a hall with chairs for 300 people and windows from 1-23. On the disply ppl get called with their receipt to their different windows. The windows are seperated by walls and have a little "window silk" so that you can put down for folders, purse etc.

Less the 2 HOURS
I went with my SO to the interview and all went very smoothly! Our appointment was for 9:30am but we were there at 7:50am and out by 9:30am. We were a bit concerned before we arrived because the doctor had not yet sent the paperwork to Frankfurt (he did his medical ine Dortmund). But they said that was not a problem. We arrived to be the 5th in line. He showed his appointment letter and we were given a number (all outside of the building). We walked to another line to waited to go to security and once that was over we were let into another building. Once there we were told to go to window 22 but that was wrong because we had already paid. So we sat and waited for our # to be called. 5 minutes later our number was called and we went to window 23. At window 23 he handed his passport and picture and we were given an envelope to put stamps on and a sheet with instructions of what to order in which to organize our paper... read complete review

Interview was simple. Few questions were asked about the relationship. We had entered in a lot of proof, and our case had been pending for about 6 months because the beneficiary had been drafted into 9 months of mandatory military service. Apparently the Embassy had time enough to review our case, because the interviewer asked no questions about our relationship other than if we Loved eachother, and if Alex was healthy, as well as our plans.
