Everything went smoothly at the embassy. The only thing that might be disturbant is the long waiting time. All in all it was a very interesting experience. Everyone was friendly and in the end it was pretty easy.

First of all: Everything went nicely!
The interview was scheduled for 9:30. I was there at 7:50, lined up in the left queue to get a number, then the right queue to get through the security check. After that the standard procedure as it has been described before:
1. Window 22/23 to show a proof of having paid the fee and hand over passport
2. another window to hand over documents
3. being sworn in and the "interview" with two questions: "how did you meet your fiancee" (my answer: work) and "what company was that?"

At 9:30 I left the building :-)
The hotel "Friedberger Warte" is really close, book through ebookers to get a good rate.

The Interview was pretty easy going.
I had my appointment for 8 in the morning.
All went pretty fast.

What kind of surprised me was that the interview took place behind one of those windows. For some reason I figured I would have to go into an extra office room with the officer.
All I got asked was "How long have you two known eachother" and "Where did you two meet".

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My wife's interview was scheduled for 9:30am on 9/4. We arrived at about 9:10am, got a ticket and got into the queue to be admitted to the consulate. When we entered the big waiting room, my wife's ticket number was already up. She handed in her passport, a photograph, and part II of the DS-230 form at the call window. Ten minutes later she was called to another window where she handed in the remaining documents; all her papers were checked and found to be in order. My wife recieved instructions about the procedure at the port of entry and that was it for this window. After ten more minutes of waiting, she was then called to the consul's window who only asked whether everything on the application was the truth, and had her sign the DS-230-II form. He didn't ask any other question and told here that the visa will be in the mail in a few days. That was it -- very quick and efficient; everybody was very friendly, courteous, and completely painless. The whole procedure took maybe 30 or 35 ... read complete review

Ok here its is, my Frankfurt interview Review

We arrived there like an hour to early so we went to Mc Donalds for 30 minutes and walked to the Konsulat to line up (a huge line) a Officer came and asked "whi is here for a VISA interview?"so everybody with a interview raised their hands and where asked to step to the side and all the way in front of the line Cool so we don't have to wait until the other 100 people get in first LOL.
He gave us a ticket, I had Number W502

then we were asked to step in the security check point room (always 4 people only) take of your watch, a belt if you where one, hand them your purse etc. then walk through that whatever it's called thingy LOL take your stuff and proceed to the next building.

The first thing I had to do was taking my Dumbo Passport pics (which are cheaper @ the Consulate then outside!!!! 6 Euros for 4, in Aschaffenburg they cost you 12 Euros)

Then my number was called for W... read complete review
