Writing this for my fiancee, based on what she told me.

Frankfurt is really easy. She had an appointment on the 10th of June, at 8:00. She got there at 7:30 and was pretty much let right in. After the security checks, and being issued a number, she went in to the room with all of the windows. The first two windows were easy and she said the people were very nice. She was really nervous as she went to the third window for her interview with the consular official.

He basically peppered her with questions over and over again, asking her the same questions two or three times without even really bothering to listen to her responses. After he felt she was sufficiently interrogated, he said "Ok, if everything is ok with your medical, you'll get your package in the mail in 7-10 working days."

She had her medical done the week before in Hamburg, so that was no problem. She got her visa in the mail today 7 days from her interview, total, including a ... read complete review

Hello Everyone!
I had my interview last Friday and I can honestly say it was a breeze. The staff is very helpful at the Frankfurt Consulate and I was basically in and out in no time. The interview was scheduled for 9am, I got there at 8.15 and went in at 8.35am. The entire K1 procedure basically takes place in three steps.
Step 1: You'll receive number and wait it to be called. You'll go to the window and follow the instructions (in German).
Step 2: You'll sit down and wait for your number to be called again. You'll go to the next window and follow instructions and hand over the last documents/evidence.
(in my particular case, the entire conversation took place in German)
Final Step 3: You'll wait for your number to be called again. This will basically be the interview with the consul. He or she will ask you a few questions and if you're lucky (keep my fingers crossed for all of you) the visa will be granted and issued a few days later.
I lef... read complete review

Today was my interview for the K-1 in FRankfurt . I had a 09:30 am appointment and left the Consulate @ 10:50 am with a positive Result. They where extremly nice there and everyting was really easy. I was so nervous and there really was no need. They only ask if we already had a date set and where we where getting married. THe cnsular only ask if all info was correct and how me and my fiance met. Then they took my fingerprints and he said: ok. We will issue your visa. Good luck and have a nice day

So everybody who goes through FRankfurt ...just relax ..it is really that easy. After all these monhs of waiting and wondering it all comes down to just a few little questions and that is it

The medical was also easy. I did that the day before. Got there about 09:45 am and was already finished and out the door an hour later. They have you fill out a few questions..pay your fee of EUR 125 tahn go downstairs for a urinet... read complete review

Our appointment was at 7.30. We arrived at 7.00 and there was already a long line. We got in 3rd because they called US citizens out of the line and I was accompanying my fiance.
We waited to be called to window 23, the lady told us how to sort the papers and to put stamps on the envelope. Then we waited again to be called to a man who went through the papers (he asked for the military papers of my fiance), let him sign the documents that needed to be signed, collected the rest of the papers, compared originals with copies, explained the procedure in US ...
Then we waited again and eventually were called to the CO. He asked whether the interview should be in German or English. My fiance opted for German. He needed to swear the correctness of the papers, took fingerprints ... Then he asked him when we met, where we met, what my job is and when we are going to be married. I was standing right next to my fiance and was chatting with the CO a bit. He then said he should have... read complete review
