Review Topic: IR-2 Visa

I arrived there at a few minutes before my interview at 8 A.M. and everything went very smoothly. Since no fees had to be paid I just waited for CO to call my number to the first counter where they took my finger prints. Took a seat and waited another ten minutes or so to be called to a secondary where another Consul proceeded to ask me a few simple questions, who my sponsor is (mother), her birthdate etc. All in all a pleasant, short conversation after which he told me that my Visa was approved and they would send it in the mail. The entire process took around 50 minutes, a majority of which was waiting time. Everyone was very friendly and uncomplicated. They didn't ask for the document that I had been missing. Tip: Take enough change with you for the shipping. Cost 4.60€ for me. Other than that, all pleasantries.

(I'm the USC petitioner...I accompanied my husband during his interview)

Our appointment was for 07:30 and we showed up at 07:10, went to the right line (for everything other than non-immigrant visas) where we waited maybe 3 minutes before a voice on the speaker system asked for the one next in line from the US Citizen Services line. The lady was real friendly, wanted to see both of our passports and gave us a green slip and a W-number and told us to go to security screening.

At security outside the man had us empty our pockets and asked us if we had any electronics. Our passports and everything we were carrying in our pockets were all put into a plastic bag that was xrayed inside with the rest of our stuff. (jacket, purse, etc....shoes can stay on) They kept the headphones in my purse and gave me a laminated pick-up number so I could retrieve them when we left the consulate.

Once inside the interview hall we were greeted by a man behind a ... read complete review

My appointment was at 9:00am, got there a little early at like 7:40am didn't want to risk it because of the frankfurt traffic. I was in need of a bathroom and anxious so I took a walk around the block to the mcdonald's there. Went back, grabbed my folder and then went to all the other line at 8:40am (just one person in front of me) got a number at the window. Then went to the security, I was done with that within 5-10 mins (all I had with me was my folder, wallet and keys) walked to the other building at the reception was a nice lady and she send me straight to the window 22. I didnt have to pay anything. He didn't have my file there so he had to go and get it and check on it. I got to see my file was kinda weird but cool. He then took my passport and half of my ticket number I got at the entrance and gave me a paper about the interview process, then send me to sit down and wait for my number to be called. Maybe 5 mins I got called to window 19, the lady took my fingerprints and looked... read complete review
