I am the USC and submitting based on what my fiance told me. His original appointment was Dec 10, but the train was late and he missed his connection. By the time he arrived at the consulate, it was closed. We were able to reschedule for Dec 17. When he got there for the Dec 17 appt, the consulate had no record of his appointment being that date nor did he have the appointment printout confirmation or his phone to prove it. They did allow him to interview anyway. He found everyone and the process to be relaxed. He did not have a good experience at the Berlin Consulate when he applied for his student visa, so he was expecting a repeat of that, but was pleasantly surprised.
After going through security, he went to a window to talk with a woman who verified all the paperwork was there. He then had to wait for the interview portion. A male officer interviewed him. He asked why my fiance missed the appointment last week. My fiance explained the train. The CO ask... read complete review

I had my interview on 11/25/15 at 8:30am. I had to reschedule my interview before and that went pretty smooth too. The wait in the line outside was just a few minutes and the security check too. Everyone was very friendly. Inside the second building I was told to wait in one of the waiting areas. My number was already shown at one of the windows so I immediately went there. The woman was neither very friendly nor unfriendly. She went through my application with me and told me whats going to happen and gave me a couple of pages regarding SSN and so on. I was told to sit down again and that I will talk to the consul shortly. I think I waited for about 15 to 20 minutes to talk to him. There were 4 or 5 woman in front of me with, I think, K1 visas. It seemed it went very well for everyone.
The consul was very friendly and was making jokes. He asked how we met, who introduced us, where we will live and stuff like that. At the end he told me my visa is approved and that I should get ... read complete review

My interview appointment was on November 16th 2015 at 10am.
I had a friend come with me to hold the things I wasn't allowed to bring into the consulate as there is nowhere you can lock those things in.
I was very nervous about the interview since I had an F-1 student visa denied in 2011. Turns out I had no reason to be nervous.
We got there at 9am and there was no line outside to wait in so I went straight up to the window I was called to. The officer ckecked my appointment letter and passport, gave me a ticket with a number on it and told me to go trough security. Since I had already given my friend everything I wasn't supposed to bring it was quick and easy. I only had my documents in a bag. I was told to take my watch off and put in a bag. I got to put it back on in the next building where the interviews take place.
The lady at the front desk told me where to go and I had to wait to be called to window 21.
