My experience at the Frankfurt Consulate was great. Everyone was extremely polite and efficient. The security officers were very nice. I arrived at 9:20 and my interview was at 9:30. I was guided to the waiting area to wait until I was called up to do an identity verification. After that, I waited until I was called up for my official interview. They asked me:
1. Why did you decide to marry your fiancee?
2. How did you meet?
3. How do you plan on supporting yourselves financially?
4. Where will you live?
5. What does your fiancee do?
The officer interviewing me made it more like a conversation and joked about how easy our case was. At the end, he told me "everything looks good for you. Your visa has been approved." I was in the consulate for 1.5-2 hours. The process took my fiancee and I four months from filing to approval. August 15th-December 15th. :D

Had a great experience with the Frankfurt consulate.
My initial appointment was pushed forward by over 4 weeks to my personal request. I sent an email to the consulate directly, once my case was in transit and the physical file was received. I informed them, that I already passed the medical exam and had everything ready and could come to any spontaneous appointment. I got a phone call then a week later, if I would be available the next day and took the offer.
So booked myself a hotel, drove to Frankfurt and had my appointment Thursday the following morning at 9:30.
As for the regular procedure, all has been explained here multiple times and it wasn't different in my case. Took about 90 Min. total. Very friendly and relaxed people. Forgot to take out the xray CD out of my documents, but they put it into a lock box and gave me a number to pick it up later, no big deal.

So this is my review for the interview at frankfurt and since i liked reading other reviews i'll write one too. So my interview was 9:45 i got there 9:30 it was very empty that time. Sometimes you wonder while filing all the stuff why it is so complicated and so many things to do. So when you get there you finally know why. So there is two lines where you can wait, the security guy will ask you what kind of visa you have and he will point you to the right lane. Then at the first window you'll give them your passport and the confirmation page. They will check that and put a waiting number in your passport. Then you go back to the left side of the line you waited for security. Don't worry everything is marked on the ground or with signs. Just look around and you'll find it all easy. In the security line you put everything yourself in a plastic bag and then wait at the line until the door opens ( watch the person in the window right to the door for instructions. The easiest interview ever! A very nice and polite officer, no pressure and relaxing atmosphere.

Overall it was very smooth!
I stayed in a hotel near the US consulate, arriving a day before my interview. I already checked out the area a day before to see where the entry is, the consulate is huge. I was so nervous I read over 60 reviews about the process to calm myself down. It helped me a lot, so I decided to make a detailed review myself too!
My interview was on a monday morning at 8.00am, I arrived there at 7:25am. You can choose between two lines, Non-Immigrant and All others, the lady in front directed me to the Non-Immigrant line. There were already about 10-15 people waiting, but I didn't wait too long. I got my ticket number at 7:47am.
After that you need to go to a man who hands you a plastic bag, you have to put all your belongings in there (keys, wallet, belt, ... excpect electrical devices, they're not allowed there), and wait at the white line until you're called into the security building.
