My appointment was on October 8th and it could not have been a smoother experience. I had a hotel room right across the embassy and walked over in the morning. The waiting area outside was well organized and after showing passport and DS160 confirmation page you receive a small sheet with a number on it. After going through security I headed to the building where non-immigrant and immigrant cases are handled. There was a waiting area with chairs and of course you will have to wait there for a significant amount of time. I first got called up to submit my passport photo, I-134, police & birth certificate and the employment letter of my fiancee. They did not take anything else. Then you go back to the waiting area and wait for your interview. My appointment was for 8:45AM and I think the interview was around 10:20AM. The CO was absolutely nice and even lifted my concerns about me getting rejected as I had multiple F1 denials and aa refused admission (ESTA) prior. After asking a few quest... read complete review

- I-130 approved January 2024
- DQed February 2024, original embassy Ankara
- Transferred case to Frankfurt on 08/07/2024

- Medical 09/24/2024 in Berlin
- Interview 10/01/2024
Interview was scheduled for 8:30. Arrived at consulate shortly before 8:00. Long line already present. Was directed to Window 1 where they processed my passport and handed me a number. Waited in security line for about 20 minutes. Security was thorough but quick. They collected phones, smartwatches, headphones and the like and handed out receipts for them.
After security, I was instructed to proceed across the courtyard to the next building and take a seat in front of windows 15-21. When my number was called first, it was ... read complete review

Let's start by saying it's easy to reach. I went by car, but I saw there's a metro/train station very close by. Parking was a bit more iffy for me as a foreigner (Dutch) as the parking meter didn't accept my cards and the other services/apps wouldn't work on my phone either. So I had to pray I wouldn't get towed. My fiancé mentioned there's a fenced parking area too, but I parked on the side of the street.
You first go through security after getting your number from the check in desk. This is easy, they're nice. If you have a phone, you can leave it there and you get a receipt or something. I left mine in the car because I didn't know. You then walk to a different building and walk to the back of it for the immigrant visas. Very smooth and simple!
For the whole process, you first get called to a check-in desk. We had 3 check-in desks open and 1 interview desks. It took me about an hour to get called to the check-in desk. You give them your documents, do y... read complete review

My appointment was at 8.30, and was instructed to arrive 15 minutes before that time. When I arrived there was already a long line.
There are 2 Windows, and the line moves fast. At either window 1 or 2 you'll be asked for your passport and confirmation page of DS-160, mine was a black and white print and this was fine. They put a sticker or label on your passport with your info on it and a number, which will be called when you are wating in the bigger hall. Check if they put the right label on it before you leave the window (they accidentally switched 2 for other applicants, which was quickly resolved though).
After that you go stand back in line and wait again. We were let in 5 at the time. Inside there is a small area, where you get instructions to put everything you brought with you in a bin, empty pockets, remove belts, etc.
I only brought to transparent folders with all my documents in it, I did have to remove my belt.
I did see all kind of binders,... read complete review
